This is great, as I just started to create balloons bouquets for fun whilst in lockdown. And dont sell them I am struggling to find any on the stretchy balloon tape. Hello, I was wondering if i was to do this with helium, once i pop the inside black balloon, will the clear one float or no?

I followed your tutorial, which was fab btw. But unfortunately my inner balloon didn’t pop on the first stab. It just left a hole and started to slowly leak air. I used a pin… is it better the sharper it is? Also do you have to use a 24” latex balloon? Can you use a bigger size?

Hi Melissa, Thank you for giving it a go! If it just left a hole, this would suggest that you haven't inflated the inner balloon enough. I would try inflating them larger to put the latex under more tension, then when you pop it, you should get the satisfying BANG! :) There is no reason why you couldn't use a larger balloon, as long as you put the latex under enough stress to get the pop. I'm not certain you would be able to get the Clearz large enough to allow the 36" latex, or something similar, to be under enough tension to get the pop. Hope this helps!

Following the technique demonstrated below using stretchy balloon tape, ours was inflated for over a week.

I tested one today. And the black balloon did not pop/burst. Instead, the needle made small tiny holes. I must’ve poked it 20 times and the balloon still didn’t pop! :( what could’ve happened? I used a 24” party city black balloon with a 20” bobo balloon outside

Every time I've attempted this technique, I've popped both ballons. Any advice?... PLEASE HELP

Oh no! Sorry to hear this. Here are a few things to try: 1. Don't inflate the balloons to their size limits. This will mean that they aren't under quite as much tension, and therefore won't pop with quite as much power. However, this is a balancing act, as the latex balloon must be under enough tension to pop rather than just deflating. 2. Allow time for the balloons to relax before popping. Give them around 30 minutes or so before you pop it. 3. Make sure the Stretchy Balloon Tape isn't placed too close to the Clearz seam and is stuck to the balloon really well. This will help to stop the balloon from tearing. 4. Use a really fine pin to pop the balloon. A larger pin will increase the chances of the Clearz popping. I really hope this helps!
