New Year’s 2024: New York City celebrates with iconic ball drop at Times Square

Revellers in New York said goodbye to the past year and welcomed the year ahead, as they counted down to the iconic ball drop at Times Square early on Jan. 1. Confetti was dispersed over the crowd after the ball was dropped from its 130-foot pole.

Dallas, Texas had legit fireworks and had shown 2024 in the firework display. That's how I knew that particular stream was IRL and not something from the past.
