It shows 100 years of ball drops! How awesome! I love the new year and it's indeed my favorite holiday! I was born in 1992, and I enjoy staying up until midnight to ring in the new year. I want to see many more years begin and in such years to begin I stay up until midnight. To begin 1943 and 1944 wartime blackouts were made for World War II and no typical ball drop occurred. I already am so excited about 2025 to begin!

It's not real it's an image, that audio is from 1942's celebration, they didn't do the ball drop because the "1942" sign would be lit up but instead, they did chimes, another symbol of a new year, this year was the first of two, 1942 and 1943.
