THE TRAILER TO DRUGSTORE JUNE is out and it looks insane.. the fact that she wrote and brought this film into fruition on top of everything else she’s got going on?? She’s so extremely talented and yet is so low key with her huge successes. I feel like they didn’t make this as big of a deal as it actually is this episode. I wish the whole pod was about the process. I’m truly not one to fan girl but judging by the trailer I feel like this movie will be top films for 2024.. they were talking about people being inspiring and wow this is actually so motivating, it makes me excited to keep pushing hard in life
@lt7592
@lt7592 Жыл бұрын
I wish Khalyla didn’t center herself 1 min into the conversation about Esther’s movie.. truly a missed opportunity for the pod to go into something extremely interesting where Esther could’ve talked about her experience as a film creator since it’s her first time accomplishing something like this (I think). Khalyla got to spend like 10 min on a mystery project but Esther got 30 seconds for which could be the biggest moment of her career sigh

Ambien is extremely dangerous - the most hardcore sleep aid available. You’re literally supposed to take it and immediately lay down and get into your bed time routine so your body knows you’re going to sleep and staying asleep. If you F around doing whatever on Ambien and then fall asleep you very well may wake up and sleep walk/do things. But like.. extremely dangerous things like falling off a balcony, accidentally and tragically committing s**cide or I’m pretty sure there was one case where someone deadass just started driving 🤯 there are so so so so many other stepping stone sleep medications to try before having to resort to Ambien which is only supposed to be for extreme and I mean EXTREME cases of insomnia. Stay safe happy and healthy everyone! 🩷
@abbyz13
@abbyz13 Жыл бұрын
yeah, they don’t allow elderly ppl who take it to walk down stairs or even stand for long periods after taking it. it’s also supposed to be TEMPORARY. like, taken for 2 weeks while you figure out your real sleep problems. a sleep study takes one night and will rule out sleep apnea and/or indicators of insomnia and narcolepsy, ppl are supposed to do that, not use pills as a band-aid for sleep.

As a bartender, i have so much respect for Annie's tip rant. If you're not a good tipper, then i get paid per hour, not per drink. The audacity some people have is wild. Constantly trying to be handsy, or saying heinous shit to me, being super demanding and needy af, and treating me like a yes-man-therapist, all to leave $1 or $2. Its insane. FOH. My best tippers are usually my coolest patrons tho and they make it worth it. Working in a tip driven industry can be super rewarding, but can become degrading and toxic really quick if you dont establish hard boundaries with people.

What do workers think about foreign tourists? My trip too USA is very budgeted, all my money is going on activities and accommodations. I want to experience going out to eat and drink there but I'm worried all the tipping on top of everything will absolutely drain my money.
@cassidycoll4488
@cassidycoll4488 11 ай бұрын
I would never base how i treat someone on the tip they leave. And i would hope most people wouldnt. Working in a service industry, most of us are just greatful to get any type of tip at all. My point was more about the people who think i exist in that moment only to serve them and act like im not there to do a job for pay. And in most restaurants, including the tip/gratuity right on the final bill, is become way more normalized. So depending on where you're going and what you're doing, you might not even have to worry about that. If not though, most people are just happy to receive any extra amount for the job they do. I know I've had days where a $5 tip has changed my whole day. i would imagine your restaurant bill would be cheaper in the U.S. vs other countries. So maybe itll be easier to include tips right into a food budget? In the U.S., bartenders and waitresses and any type of employee that recieves tips, are allowed to be paid less than minimum wage. Ive worked in restaurants for $3/hr because my main money was made in tips. Other countries are required to pay their employees a livable wage so they don't have to be dependent on tips. But i would imagine paying those employees a livable wage is reflected in the bill when you leave. Everything becomes more expensive to compensate the non-tip-dependent-wages.

Holy fuck. Hearing Khalyla take ownership of her success and verbally flip the bird to haters was awesome. I'm still on the fence regarding Khalyla's likeability (she doesn't give a shit what I think and that's cool), but I like that she is challenging the biggest dig that people take at her. Honestly hope she crushes whatever she's chasing. Hopefully it's unisex!

@@allyjay7395 huh? My opinion is universal? Idk how you came to that conclusion. Think of someone you like, or someone you dislike. Why do you like or dislike them? That's their likeability from your perspective, which you're allowed to decide for yourself. Ester! Yes, post-partum can be hard. If you can get a night nurse, GET A NIGHT NURSE! For at least the first 2 weeks. Then hang on to them for date nights. This is especially true if you don't have an older former mother or person that is extremely comfortable and experienced with newborns to be around in those critical weeks. We were new parents, all alone, and it was not good. Steal your mom, or K's mom, or someone's mom to watch YOU because though Dave will do his best to be there, having a mother to support you (paid or family) is incredibly helpful. We were not meant to raise babies in two-people communities. Grandmas have longevity for a reason. And don't go too deep into the Reddit pregnancy and newborn horror stories hole. It can be too much. Get a little info, but then GTFO. I would recommend preparing with baby books like you probably have been doing, and also reading a book like Free Ranged Kids. I had PPD-Anxiety and I worried too much in post-partum, and this book helped me ease up. Having a little perspective about how resilient your kids are will help you relax if you find yourself worrying. You're going to do great. Congrats again!

Hearing Khalyla talk about being a complex, layered person before and after her relationship with Bobby made me tear up. I'm in the middle of a fresh, rough breakup and trying to remind myself that I am also a strong, complex individual who brings value on my own.

To answer Esther I think you go from full to starving because the baby will be taking up room making you feel full then they shift and you realize you are actually hungry. It's been 13 years since I was pregnant though but I think I remember that happening

Kalayla, please read George ohsawa about macrobiotic diet, I'm 11 years in and do not regret giving it a shot, eat brown rice, make sure you put enough salt but not table salt only celtic salt / grey salt (hand harvested, full of minerals) ... Use Grilled sesam oil...Peace
