The beauty of this video is that it shows the night in and night show he put on. He didn't have to dunk, follow up a shot, or get out on a breakaway basket to score. It was a very simple game... The beauty of these buckets Jordan is getting he does just enough to put the ball in the hoop. Casually lays the ball in the hoop. Many of times he could of caught a body and put someone on a poster but he didn't just lays it up over his opponent. Ja Morant IMO could take a page from MJs game and just lay the ball in the hoop. His an exciting player to watch and i hoop his health stays intact so we can see his potential.

the perfect player. One gets to appreciate him even more as time goes on, one gets to appreciate different aspects even after a million times watching him play. For instance, his speed. That's some next level speed, he's essentially a 6'6 Iverson on the floor. He literally leaves his defender on quick sand like a cartoon character. He's also too quick to jump and defenders can't really challenge him on time. Something only true ballers will understand is his ability to turn on both sides of his shoulder in the post as good. No matter how great some player's footwork is, no matter how great their post up game is, they can't turn on both shoulders as effectively. Not only can he turn just as good on both shoulders, he'll give you an extra move once he does turn which requires crazy body control and balance. Yet he does it so fast which makes it even scarier. I feel that this season (1991-92) is peak MJ. He has more individual seasons of brilliance to sort through for that title than anyone else in the history of the sport though I really believe that this season was MJ at his absolute pinnacle of excellence and dominance.

96-97 he didn't even win the mvp. 95-96 the bulls were 72-10, and Jordan dominated in every statistical category. He was all nba defense and mvp, all star mvp. I don't know how you can put 96-97 over 95-96. Many have 95-96 as Jordans best season, but I have never heard the one you mentioned. I believe he fell off a bit that season. Still amazing, but Malone took the mvp from him that year. Jordan took it back from him the next year and rightfully so.

Prime MJ is so much better at exploiting spaces and finishing at the rim than his league (I mean...at 2 or 3 standard deviations better, which translates to impossibly better) that in today's NBA, where players are way more protected by officials and the paint's far less packed, he'd average 45 PPG a season eeeee-Z

Nobody could operate in tight spaces like Jordan. He was the most unstoppable one on one player I've ever seen. But his best attribute was how cool he looked. I love how he just glides on the floor and in the air. It's so graceful. Maybe LBJ is better in that he's a more complete player with more longevity but 23 will always be Jordan's number

LBJ- Longevity yes, but that is easy when you can spend a million a year on your body, take first class chartered flights, not play back to back games, not suit up for games, lag on defense, and not have people trying to take your head off to keep you from scoring. More complete... Shrugs... Jordan -More all defense, dpoy, top 5 in your position in assists and blocks, lead the league in steals twice, clutch at game time, reliable at the free throw line, and shot 50.5% from the field while playing for the Bulls. Naw not more complete that's just a narrative the PR pushes to keep the GOAT debate going. But that was really over years ago.

LBJ had only begun to develop a more consistent jumper in his last 4 years. The only player that touches MJ in terms of coordination and body control, agility and overall grace is Kyrie. Both these guys can make themselves small, play super low to the ground relative to their size and get through the tiniest of gaps with the most efficient movements possible. Both can make super sharp cuts and maneuver in the air even more comfortably than they do on the ground. Both can use right and left hands equally well, take off one or two feet equally well off right or left. Completely synchronized movements. A lot of people can jump high and run fast and be tall like MJ - though rarely anyone matched him in all three, maybe someone like Zach Lavine - but no one combines those things with this incredible fluidity and dexterity. Kyrie matches the latter though
