Silvester 2020 Berlin - New Year celebrations, none really compare to the sheer chaos and craziness of Berlin. Long before the clock strikes 12am, Berliners will have been ringing in ‘Silvester’ with an inordinate number of fireworks, lighting up the streets and sky - terrifying tourists and those unprepared for the ecstatic celebrations.

I was there in Silvester 2019, it was insane to walk through the streets, I'm ducking my head fearing every explosion, then a family walks by with their kids like they're just out for a nice evening stroll to enjoy the fireworks. Berliners are crazy but I absolutely love that city because of this, not in spite of this. The history of the city has shaped it to be a place like nowhere else.
