Happy New Year !! I just downloaded the NCW and excited to get started on my 2021 readventure of redoing my Crafty site. I also have been sewing as a child and since my retirement as a Nurse of 48yrs decided to get back into the swing of thing. I make stuff animals, quilts, dresses, ect. and now my newest adventure is handbags. I find them exciting and new. Being 71 makes it hard sometimes to "birth" the bags, but I enjoy it and it gives me something to do. Happy New Years to everyone and have a Healthy and prosperous one.

When I make a NCW I use a piece of RFID fabric in between the card slots and the backing of the card slots. It keeps a person from using a card reader to steal your card info.I bought the RFID fabric on Amazon, I bought 1 yard or 1 meter depending on who I bought from.

I've had the NCW pattern for a couple of years but haven't made it yet. I know I won't be able to fly through it like you've done but after watching you do it I think I will add it to my list of projects! Thank you and Happy New Year!

I made an NCW with a turn lock. It is scary. Turned out ok. I just gradually made the hole bigger until it was right. Had trouble getting the screws in though.

Definitely nicu they do amazing things for the tiniest and most in new babies. The nicu staff saved my baby girls life.

Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military & veterans families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital. My sister was able to stay at a Fisher House in California when her military husband was left in a vegetative state prior to his death. These homes are located at military and VA medical centers around the world. Fisher Houses have up to 21 suites, with private bedrooms and baths. Families share a common kitchen, laundry facilities, a warm dining room, and an inviting living room.

Okay I know this is a dumb question but how do you sew so fast and perfectly straight without any kind of guide and you’re so fast and barely seem to have to look. I have such a hard time getting straight lines and I use guides. Is it my machine or me lol? I just have domestic machines.

I have been trying to make wallets and bags on my Pfaff Tiptronic 2020 with great difficulty I like using cork, vinyl, and waterproof canvas so I'm ready for a new machine. I just started sewing this year even though I've had my Pfaff for close to 20 years. I have been trying to decide between the Juki TL 18 QVP and the Juki DU 1181N which one would you recommend? I am 61 years old so it's probably going to be my last machine. If the Juki 18 is going to give me problems with skipped stitches and worrying with what tape I use I think I would rather have the Juki 1181 any advise would help. Thank You

May be you you can help.. I bought a brand new Juki DDL- 8100e.. I tried every thing in power to wind the bobbin without problems, I tried to open the inner part, bought new bobbin and now I’m inserting some tooth picks to wind the bobbin.. my other machines are Brother and Janomine.. so you can tell I love sewing but heart broken with Juki.. help me pls

Listening to your comments on people that are comfortable with rotary cutters: I’m a quilter as well as a bag maker, and I’ve been using one since 1994, so, yes, I’ve become pretty comfortable. 😉 I have to say that your overhanded fist grip on the cutter always makes me cringe so hard! 😬 is it just the angle, or do you need a new blade? I always sigh with relief when I change blades and wonder why I waited so long to change.
