What a concept making a year creating over consuming. I feel this has been my philosophy in general for years now, but to actually word it out makes it even more intentional! Love it! Happy new year 😘

Agreed! I feel I've done this for years, but this past year putting it out there as my "goal/mantra" really made it more intentional and I'm glad you feel the same!!

Jaclyn you are an amazing young woman! I’m so happy to have found your channel. I want to borrow your goal from last year! Thank you. Also I’d love for you to share maybe quarterly your goal progress. Just to keep me motivated

Oh my goodness you are so sweet!!! Thank you for your kind words Judi! And please, borrow “create over consume” it’s a great goal to have all the time. Helps me stay on track with wanting to create new things. And I like your idea of a quarterly update on goals - thank you for this idea! I’ll write it down in my ideas list 🙌🏼

Happy New Year Jaclyn! I love watching goal related videos. I recently learnt that to achieve goals and make them work you should not make too many and you need a reason why you are making that particular goal so you can really nail down what your goal truly is. Sounds like you've achieved both these things. My goal for this year is to be more productive. I opened an etsy store late last year and want to create more products. I'm currently waiting on a few supplies so I can get going. Good luck with all your goals and the move ahead :)

HNY to you too! Yes, not having too many goals so you don't get overwhelmed is important. As well as having your why so you know why you're working towards it in the first place! Thank you for sharing that! I'm so excited for you and your etsy shop - that's so amazing! I'm so glad you opened it last year to start and are working on creating more products. Such a fun and exciting time to create for you!! Wohoo!!

I sketched out my first ever vision board a couple of years ago. On it I drew myself doing what my goals were. I have limited wall space in my studio so I put my vision board into the clear front of a 3 ring binder and the inside of the binder was divided into tabs for each goal. In each section the goals were broken down into “bite size” tasks etc. I have kept this notebook going since and have attained a few of the goals and added new ones. 📚 I love a good book but don’t have much time to just read- I love audiobooks because I can do stuff at the same time… like clean a closet, then I don’t feel like I’m being punished- instead I’m being entertained. It’s kind of a reward WHILE I accomplish a task😉! Or riding my exercise bike inside on a rainy day, I’ll listen to a book and I’m not so bummed because I can’t be outside instead. Listening to stories motivates me to accomplish my goals joyfully (I’m such a kid…at 57)! I hope that moving house goes smoothly for you and I’ll be praying it does, and that you’ll have a great space to live & sew & bake & create & do all the things! I totally get the moving stuff around- I believe that rearranging brings me contentment with what I have. When I rearrange and find new uses for things and solve storage issues or space issues with what I already own then I feel down right virtuous! 😂 ⭐️I love your mantra of creating over consuming! Perfect mindset for a creative person to have!⭐️ Well this comment is almost as long as your video 😂just kidding, I thoroughly enjoy your videos and would happily listen to you while I clean a closet!🙃😂

Hannah, I love this comment so much! I love that you drew your vision board a few years ago doing all the things/goals you had. That's a really neat way to create one! And i love that you love audiobooks too - I agree, being able to do something else while listening is super fun and helps motivate you to keep cleaning or whatever you are doing. I even started this year listening to an audiobook while I was editing photos for my photography job and it was so relaxing! I'm so glad you liked the creating over consuming mantra - it's been such a help for me to focus on creating and I'm glad so many people resonate with that. :) Thank you so much for commenting! I super appreciate it!!!
