It's not the same but with the Get to Work expansion pack you could have your own business and an "apartment" on the second floor of that building (at least I used it for a sims family once)

Yeeesss!! But can someone explain to me how to get my sims 4 apartment building back?? That world was downloaded and i was playing it, until one day i couldn't get back into the world. It's still lined up with the other worlds but it will not allow me to enter and i paid $30.00 for that game! Can someone please help me??????

For my storytelling peeps who have get together, put this lot down as a cafe, create a club then you can lock the door as a club hangout permanently even if you dont have sims in your club. But I would defo use this as an actual club hangout since its so aesthetic.

It's so beautiful! It's a pity that the game does not allow having a business and a house at the same time ... :( Also now that it's possible to have roommates would be much more fun because it would be like having your own home, your business and independent neighbors.

actually, there is a mod that would allow you to live there and run the business. about rommates...can we choose a family but not only single sim?

honestly not sure, I have yet to use roommates. I think probably just a single sim. However you can have up to 9 roommates as long as you have enough beds. So in the above example, you could give yourself 2 roommates to live with you, and then split the remaining seven into the other two townhouses. The only drawback is that as far as I know, kids can't be roommates, so you can't simulate families. Although would be interesting to have a roommate then using cheats give them a kid and see what happens.

how did you give the second building a foundation but not the first? or rather, how come the first building didn't automatically get a foundation when you added it on the other one? i thought all buildings on the same lot get a foundation if you add it to one (at least that's what always happens to me)
