Hi Mary Lynn, Really cool you're going to Stockholm, welcome to my city! Some of the Cattelan pieces currently on display at Moderna Museet are very nice. You also got Belinde de Bruyckere at Artipelag and Millesgården is a lovely sculpture park full of art by Carl Milles. If you have the time I would also check out the Stahl Collection in Norrköping, which in my opinion is Sweden's best in contemporary art. Let me know if you need a guide!

Well said. High end decor. L.a. has art exhibited for arts sake alone. Costs of everything.. in n.y. have people fleeing like rats from a sinking ship. I suppose galleries have to exhibit what sells above all, to stay in business. ( there's room for both art & decor i.m.o.) especially with the advent of a.i. & new ideas that may arrive in contrast from it, needs to be shown.

Malevich's radical gesture is that with his black square he defeated the sun (a symbol of traditional culture). Over time, the square was transformed into a pixel and became the basis of all computer graphics. Postmodernity raised the square to the flag and began to deconstruct everything that was possible, in the end there was nothing left. It is being replaced by metamodernity and recognizes oscillation as the basis of all. The sun rises and sets. With my work I showed exactly this. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d326aWCqmNGFfs0si=tEx_boFJQBXRNzAN

You blocked my view of the George Condo? I don't care how nice your outfit is, don't stand in front of Condo. (That was a joke. Please don't come after me, people). Thank you as always for posting, but again, don't stand in front of the Condo.

How odd. Normally, Robert Mangold comes off as a formalist, one of the last stalwarts of modernism. In this company, however, Mangold looks like a radical. Frieze is rife with revisionism. Old tropes rear their ugly heads. _"The problem with young artists today is they treat art history like a toy box."_ - Donald Judd

So far, the rich world's artists and galleries have successfully shut their eyes and ears to the Gaza Massacre; thus making themselves increasingly irrelevant.
