I've volunteered for this for the past 3 years. I'm finally running it in 2019. I probably have no business running this as my current anticipated finish will be 6 hours and 15 minutes but I'm trying. Of all the videos I've been binge watching for the past year, this was the most human one I've seen and it literally brought me to tears. Thank you for making this Yankee so proud to be living in this city and thank you for highlighting this amazing race.
@kisherefilm5 жыл бұрын
Oh wow you volunteered ... you guys are AMAZING and the love and support you give the runners is AWESOME! So pleased you're running it this year... time is irrelevant. The only person you're competing with in a marathon is yourself. My first marathon in London fell apart at mile 15 due to an ITB issue, this meant the last 11 miles were slow and painful. What didn't help it was the hottest London Marathon on record. We pushed on through and completed in 6hrs+ and the feeling was still amazing, probably more amazing because we had struggled. To me a marathon is an adventure....an unwritten story if you like! You can put in months of prep but it doesn't design your marathon for you... anything can happen on the day. I don't say this to worry you, I say it so you don't focus too much on time. My mission on my first marathon was simply to complete it in one piece. I would love to know how you get on... can you let us know :) thank you for watching my video and for saying that you felt it was the most human video. I aimed too give an honest account of our experience. I did make a video about the London marathon... it is on my channel . All the best Scott :)

Jeff Picken Hi Jeff, I still get a lump in my throat too when Kat crosses the finish line. Like most of us I know Kat suffered with massive self doubt prior to running the marathon.
