New York City's WORST Subway Line | My Analyst Series 1 |

Welcome my friends, old-timers or newcomers now joining, to a new series created by me!
In "My Analyst Series", I will be discussing and dissecting each NYC Subway Topic with detailed information regarding each reason of said video.
In today's video, for episode 1, 8/23/2024, we have "New York City's WORST Subway Line", the Romeo, aka R-train. I provide 4 great reasons as to why the R train is the worst Line and explain each in depth. For future videos, the video type will be the same.

The W is worse, it's literally a ripoff of both the N and R. I guess the only thing going for it is the rush hour extension to 86th in Gravesend via local for passengers from lower Manhattan

Good video. It’s even worse over night after 12 from Queens Plaza that’s why I take the 7 train instead I save 35 min in delay

Even when the M doesn’t run on QBL all the time, it does a much better job than the R somehow. The M basically saves the R when it comes to serving QBL local. Without the M (during weekends), the R always fails to show up and handle the load of passengers. Another thing I noticed is everytime i’m on a local station on QBL (even during the weekends), I’ll notice only 3 or 4 R trains in an hour while seeing too many E and F trains fly through. Every single time I take the R to Queens Plaza or Roosevelt, people are literally dying to leave the R only to transfer to the E or F

The MTA needs to give the N Q W R160A Alstom And the R160B Siemens needs to stay in the E F R trains what do you think about that if no I respect your opinion

Thats crazy, not sure for the (4), (5), (6), (A) (B), (E) (F), (C), etc, terminals. also at Queens Plaza, this is what got me pissed off, How come the signal did not turn over to green, and there's no Train inside Queens Plaza local track

The (A) is fine, it's the headways that make it lose a bunch of points. Other than that, it's a cool line with its diversity in fleet and areas it goes through.

i always thought the R is way too long for a full local, but at the same time, it needs to exist for the most part. so in my opinion the best thing to do is swap the R and W trains routes. R goes to Astoria, thus making it slightly less long, and W goes to 71st.

The w train would increase the tph on qbl local and then the rush hours w trains would be Brooklyn express

The N train also sucks. Got it's R160s taken now it's stuck with the crusty old SMEES for another 5+ years. 8-10 minute headways on rush hour. Terrible. Absolutely terrible line as well. Just better than the R merely because it got outside on both ends.

@@YummyF0OD wrong no R160’s are leaving Jamaica this has already been confirmed with the MTA. R211 will be going on lines with OTT at the end of the day R211’s will be assigned to the A,C,B,D,N,Q,W lines especially since 6th Ave CBTC is put on hold indefinitely. There will NOT be displaced R160’s so keep freaking dreaming

The 4th Avenue line In Brooklyn is the worst! The best is the Flushing Line cause the 7 trains run like every 2-3 minutes along the entire route and also the R train is so trash when it comes to waiting 10-15 minutes for a train then most of the time the D/N arrive more often at 36th Street & Atlantic Avenue and they really need to upgrade their CBTC system between 95th Street and Atlantic Avenue. This is one of the reasons why I don’t take the R train if I happened to be at a certain stations, but I go to the (D)elta and the (N)itro. I do transfer the (E)ddie & (F)rank in Queens to avoid being delayed and its express. The entire system on the (R)omeo is garbage, I agree with you. My other concern is that 34th Street is another shithole station cause 1, you got the N train waiting to switch to the local track, meanwhile… the R/W waits for the N to clear and then the trains shall precede. 2. The R train should swap with the N/Q during rush hours if they need trains to run local or express between Canal Street and 34th Street. I hate the idea of the R making it express, then having the N/Q and W train run local. Also Queens Plaza is a disaster when the M has to switch tracks to the R after leaving for Forest Hills. The entire system on the Romeo is really fucking garbage 😂

sure, but the W is a "backup" route, pretty much no one absolutely needs it to the point no other train can be used instead. not the case with the R.
