7th AVENUE - known as Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard north of Central Park - is a thoroughfare on the West Side of the borough of Manhattan in New York City. It is southbound below Central Park and a two-way street north of the park. Seventh Avenue originates in the West Village at Clarkson Street, where Varick Street becomes Seventh Avenue South (which becomes Seventh Avenue proper after the road crosses Greenwich Avenue and West 11th Street). A part of the avenue in the Garment District is co-named Fashion Avenue. It is interrupted by Central Park from 59th to 110th Street.

Many Chicago people try to compare Chicago to New York City. Sorry, all of you, Chicagoans, the windy city is boring compared to NYC. I lived in both cities.

@sylvestersmith5072 We're on the same page. New York City is a megacity and packed with amenities because it's a 24-hour city. New York compares well with Tokyo and Chicago compares with Toronto. New York has 6 million more people within its population than Chicago. There is no comparison at all.
