Me and my brother-in law have been going to Liberty games since 1997, through the good and the bad (the worst being the Westchester County Center. I remember hating it as a fan and feeling so bad for those fantastic athletes having to play in such a sub par space. Being at a packed Barclay’s the last few weeks I thought wow we’ve come a long way!) For years I did point out that me and my brother in law would be the only men who were there on our own- all the other guys were with either girlfriends, wives or daughters. A reflection of the bias that male sports fans have towards women’s basketball. Now I see many more guys with their male friends at the game so I think they are seeing that they have been missing great basketball. I make the long trip from near the Bronx Zoo to Barclays by subway to see the Liberty play- love the team and proud to see the fan base growing and supporting them.

Renee and Linda. Yes we're members and been following since MSG let them go. All I can say is thank you NY Liberty for making my summer's awesome. I live in the Bronx, no matter the weather I make it to Barclay Center. It's a pleasure meeting the fans, non members and members. This is my Liberty face 😊😊😊😊😊😊. I really feel comfortable at Barclay Center my family members and friends enjoy the atmosphere also, I like seeing their great smiles throughout the game. Ellie is the best Mascot ever.❤

I'm from West Virginia and I'm new to the family this season. Saw my first game post-Olympics in Vegas and was one of 15 ppl sporting a Liberty jersey. Finally went to season ender at Barclays v. The Dream. Sad to lose but I definitely knew I was in the right place and chose the right team to follow (ok, become obsessed with lol). The energy from everyone was indescribable but I still feel it when I'm watching on TV. I'm there in spirit and I love the Liberty! Win or Lose, they're my girls...but let's get this W this year!!!!

My AAU team as a kid was called the Liberty, and every year we'd take a team trip to watch a game. It was always such an inspiration to say "wow, I can be a powerful woman in this sport, and these athletes are the example." I've carried that love for this team into adulthood, watching every game I can, and getting all my friends to appreciate women's sports with me. It's so incredible to see where this team is now - now let's go get that championship!!

Been a fan since 2023 when I started watching more of the WNBA. My favorites players Marine Johannes and Han Xu are Liberty players even though they havent been playing or getting enough minutes.

Best thing thing they ever did was sell the team to the Brooklyn Nets owner, Joseph Tsai.

Not trying to disrespect the Westchester Center but that was a glorified high school gym. Coming from Long Island, it took 3 hours of mass transit (6 hours total). LIRR to Penn, any subway north to 42nd Street, shuttle to Grand Central, and then the Harlem Line. Been a Liberty fan since day one. I blame former owner James Dolan for treating the Liberty like sh#t. I would sometimes get great seats at the Garden that allowed access to the Delta Sky 360 suite. Newer fans should know that the Liberty did have sellout crowds during their first few seasons at the Garden. I'm happy for this organization and I'm happy that people are excited once again.

Even though they play at the Barclays I still see them as the female version of the New York Knicks. James Dolan should have held on to the franchise. I truly believe this is going to be there year.

What wasn't mentioned was the Team playing a series of games at Radio City Music Hall. I went to those games as well as those at MSG. When I moved back to NYC in '03, the law firm My Sister worked for at the time were giving their staff free tix. My Sister would pass them on to Me. Sorry. But I can't do Brooklyn. Can't stand Barclay's Center. Had less that fun Concert experiences there It's Too far. And I still have a generation old Harlem/Da Bronx "bias" towards that borough. 🤣🤣🤣😇😇😇 Still... I'm thrilled that The Liberty as well as College and WNBA (ABL in its origins) has grown the way it has. I've been a FAN of Women's B-Ball since Cheryl Miller's College days. GO LIBERTY!!!
