Love the hair watch fob you are using as a necklace! That was probably a wedding gift to the groom from his future wife.

that beaded dress is spectacular ! those iridescent shinny beads make me happy. I don't mind the shoulder flower even if it is somewhat reminiscent of 80s Elizabeth Taylor. Also Trivial Pursuit ! It's a really fun games for people who love general culture, factoids, and colors. Definitely one of my favorite games !

I remember that game Trivial Pursuit, my parents had it. The "SN" means Science and Nature. Each player would have an empty "pie" (that's how I thought of it), shown on the fabric in pink, and you'd fill it in with pieces as you answered questions correctly.

Nice haul! Enjoyed your travelogue! The slits around the plate were meant to thread a ribbon through to help hang it on a wall for an added extra Victorian touch.

Love the clothing! Great finds. I've seen people do inserts in the sides and sleeves of lace or a contrasting fabric to make a garment bigger. Love that dress!

Yeah I'm thinking that is what I do because I don't want to redo the pleats

The beaded dress is amazing! Def keep the flower on a pin. And the cat fabric is everything!❤

Trivial Pursuit.... Very popular in the 80s.

The mystery game on the scarf is Trivial Pursuit. Have you never played that game? I guess it was really popular in the 90s. So sad about the octopus-esque glass! When you wrote that you broke it, I immediately thought, "Yeah, that's something I would do, too." I agree with you about the spectacular beaded dress: the flower would make a great pin, or even a hair flower. That would be strange if someone ragged on you for remaking the cat dress to fit you. The purpose of clothing is to be worn. And you bought and paid for it, so you should be able to make it wearable for you.

never played trivial pursuit, my family wasn't a huge games family. I was thinking of making it a hair flower too, great minds think alike.

I feel like you could easily turn that cat dress into a jumper type top dress that you have to wear a blouse with!

Side panels in the same color as the base fabric, maybe with some stretch? Then take off and ease the skirt on.

Yes, that is a man and a woman. 😀. Oh my gosh!!! The dresses and skirt are just so good!!! What great deals and they fit great! I loved the grape brooch! The dress you were wearing is so pretty as well. I can’t wait to see what you do with that cat print dress!!!

They were such great deals! and thank you, I am thinking of doing colored panels down the side, tbd.

Periwinkle blue is my absolute favorite color. Anything in that color speaks to me! I would take the flower off and perhaps put it on a pin. Your black grapes are most likely marcasite, most often set in aged sterling silver. Lovely piece!

The board game on your scarf is Trivial Pursuit. The SN next to the question means it is from the science and nature category.

Hi Haley- What a great haul and great story for all of the pieces. Love the cat print dress! It is unlike any I have seen to date. I love the story with the Victorian hair necklace. Sorry about the jellyfish? glass. I absolutely adored the scarf- it is Trivial Pursuit, among other much loved board games that I remember playing with family and friends from the late 70s to the early 90s. Love how the flowers are coming out in Seattle! Thanks for sharing!

That blue beaded dress is gorgeous! The flower could be nice if its easily removable. Some events it may be too much and detract from the garment. The fabric on the cat dress is so gorgeous! Maybe you can add side panels in a complimentary colour, I recently picked up a gorgeous 60s blue floral dress someone had done that for the hips/skirt, which made it fit perfectly on me!
@HaleyMarieVintage4 ай бұрын
Yeah I also think it might be nice to sometimes be able to move where it is depending on what I do with my hair and jewelry, I think I am going to go with the colored panel on the dress I just have to find it!

I think the board game is trivial pursuit! Maybe the quote is a question from the game, as it's around all, well, trivia. I love the Victorian hair memento watch fob/necklace! I know what you mean about buying it online, for the same reason I've looking for a similar piece in the wild but no luck so far.

Gurl, you take that cat pattern dress apart and re-ART it UP!! People in our junk journal culture whine about "disembowling" (Shannon Green) old books ... Please!! Books beg to be re-loved and I imagine, fashion pieces do too; alter and enjoy! That blue beaded dress reminds me of black church-going women here ... my great Auntie had many! Love this channel because you keep doing YOU! Hi to Ham aka Spunks aka Spooky! Can you ask her to stop being snooty and come say Hi to us : )))) 🖤💙💜💚....
