The Kevin Roberts Show

The Kevin Roberts Show

Күн бұрын

At the New York Times Climate Forward event, Heritage Foundation President Dr. Kevin Roberts took aim at the elitist, global climate agenda, calling it out for failing the American people-and the global poor.
Roberts pointed to data showing a 98% reduction in climate-related deaths over the last century, emphasizing that climate hysteria is not rooted in facts.
He called for an end to the politicized federal overreach, urging a return to common-sense energy policies that actually serve the American people. Through Heritage's Project 2025, Roberts made clear: we’re here to correct the course and put the power back in the hands of the people.

When the government is paying for research, the results are prescribed beforehand.

The so-called scientific "consensus" does not exist because virtually all research funding and publishing companies are owned and or funded/controlled by those with vested interests in promoting the "solution's", like carbon credit/tax schemes, to the effects of climate change and who claim climate change is mainly caused by man-made activity. Research that produces data that does not support these views does not receive funding for pursuing that research or for publishing their findings. Therefore, no differing views are allowed to see the light of day and the only research that does get published is that which supports the manufactured established narrative. The education system is now over 90% liberal having been pushed out more conservative educators and is now almost universally focused on political indoctrination at the expense of more general education. The sciences are strongly controlled by the same funders of now established research and publishing.

This is a fascinating discussion but I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that the many of the interviewer’s positions on the questions about climate are assuming that government funded research on climate is impartial. Nothing could be further from the truth. The fact that these studies are funded by government automatically makes them slanted toward whatever political ideologies exist in that government and the associated unelected agencies, organizations and third party political contributors who have vested interests in green energy sector business enterprises. To think that these studies are following scientific method by posing hypotheses beforehand and then determining if those questions are answered with complete impartiality is mental folly. Rather, theses studies are only funded if the purpose is defined ahead of time to coincide with the narrative that the funders want to bring forward ie all of whom have financially vested interests leveraged on predetermined outcomes of the study results.

Does someone actually need climate research to be informed on climate change? Is every year going to be just another hot year? We are seeing and experiencing more, once in a generation weather related natural disasters. Hurricane Helene currently barreling through Florida and all the up through Tennesee. Insurance companies are either not renewing home policies or raising rates to the point you're paying 2 mortgage payments in these areas. Farmland in the Rio Grande is drying up because of decades of persistent drought, much like many other areas in the US. Warming oceans causing 10 billion snow crabs to die off, tell the crab fisherman it was just a few hot years, no big deal.

@@brianmw8559 We are certainly not seeing more natural disasters. Hurricanes are not above normal. The strongest tornados are much lower in number since 2000 than they were from 1950 to 1975. Temperatures are lower than they were during the Roman Warm Period, ~2000 years ago and much lower than in the Minoan Warm Period, ~3500 years ago. And we need warmer weather, currently 10 times more people worldwide die from cool and cold weather than from warm and hot weather.

You are ABSOLUTELY correct! The entire discussion of "studies on 'climate change'" is pointless due to the facts you mentioned. "Climate change" is cyclical, which history proves through the earth's archeological changes in rock formations and other measurable findings. It is within the normal historic fluctuations.

@@rfhirsch we are seeing more record breaking hot days along with longer period of record breaking heat waves. Heat waves combined with drought conditions and unprecedented forest fires in many places of the world are definitely fueled by global warming.

This is an example of a poor journalist. A journalist is supposed to be objective. He's not. He already made up his mind. Asking questions like why does Donald Trump disavow the 2025 Project. If her were interviewing me, I would ask him if he is being objective? If not, how can you call yourself a journalist?

I'm writing from the southernmost state of Brazil. Our biomes (Amazon, Pantanal, Atlantic Rainforest, Cerrado...) have been burning relentlessly for 2 months. Non-stop. Far right agribusiness denialists set our biodiversity on fire as a vendetta against the current presidential government and environmental institutions because they were doing their job. They got used to reigning at the fringe of law in the Bolsonaro and Salles government (2018-2022). The problem is we're living in a sort of agro-evangelical-fascist dictatorship here. They hold the power in Congress and Senate. Bolsonaro's militias got deep in the Amazon to illegally mine gold and gun trafficking. Rivers and indigenous communities are dying every single day. We should be chasing those who are killing us. Why those who profit from the destruction of planet are not afraid? They individualize profits and socialize damages. There's no more room and time for politely educate post-capitalist-technofeudal society.

Yes, because of manipulating the weather this will be a judgement on mankind! Revelation 16 8 The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was allowed to scorch people with fire. 9 They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.

Energy transition? So easier said than done. How do you suggest we generate electricity without rotary motion?

We'd be there already if one political party in particular hadn't been bitch slapping renewable energy since the 1970s. And yes. Rotary motion ie wind turbines is one part of the solution. As are solar power tidal power and a plethora of other methods being developed.
