Excellent video, my name is Dr. Linda Thornton. I am 1975 alumni of NYU College of Dentistry. I am the first black female army trained board-certified Prosthodontist. Out of 180 students in my class, there were only three African Americans and one black female, ME. After graduating from NYU, I entered the Army, became board-certified in Prosthodontics, and rose to the rank of LtCol. and received my Masters' degree in Healthcare Administration at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. After retiring from the army, I became a Associate Professor at Temple University (Kornberg School of Dentistry). After retiring from Temple, I moved to Florida. Now I am teaching Prosthodontics at Lake Erie School of Dental Medicine. AND IT ALL STARTED AT NYU COLLEGE OF DENTISTRY. This video is an excellent resource.......... Good Luck in your future endeavors

NYU has been flooding tri state area with least ethical dentists around. If I see a dentist from NYU, I run. They teach them business first and ethics is an afterthought. The problem is NYU educated dentists habitually push fillings, crowns, root canals, periodontal/deep cleanings when patients don’t need them because they exploit patient trust to make money. I had different NYU trained dentists try to scare me into doing fillings and root canals that I never needed. Be aware. It’s s unfortunate that the problem with their graduates is widespread. Dentists from Michigan and Columbia schools are much more ethical and honest and don’t lie about problems that don’t exist just to sell you a service.

dcentral such a generalized statement to make on your experience. Where do you get the proof that they are the least ethical? Yet you make another generalized statement saying Columbia and Michigan are ethical. News flash: Not everyone is a saint in those of all schools and I would go on to say most people are not bad apple in each of those schools including nyu and if you want to criticize why not mention that those other schools u mentioned have little clincial experience but nyu has the most clinically strong program in the nation. Columbia is known to have a slack patient pool who often cancels their appointment. I thing you have a grudge against nyu as I have seen you posting on other nyu videos criticizing them

Rajit Kamboj completely disagree. With that kind of defence then all schools who have recent changes have some risk with it. I know a lot of top tear schools that recently got into changes which are completely cleaning house. And people in those residents in those programs are concerned about the new changes and aren’t happy with their programs. So like I said. Each schools has their downfalls. But for my specific program at NYU it is known for its strength and diverse experience. And this is first hand experience not “hearing it from friends and other colleagues”. Internationally this place has great networking and alumni and what beats being in NYC? a city known worldwide. so I’m fine with my selection.

You think NYU is even less ethical than the school that didn't sterilize their instruments????????????? I noticed you're the same guy that I replied to in Dr. Rabah's video saying Columbia dentists were way better than NYU. Well, I'm gonna say that the Columbia dentists I had were the least trained dentists I've had that actually tried to upsell me sealants as a 27 year old who has only had 2 cavities ever as a child. That means he wants me to pay for sealants even though I don't get cavities. "You're high risk for cavities." What a joke. What did the NYU dentist do for me? He did his job and nothing more. I dug into it and it turns out Columbia students are way less trained in general dentistry because they like to focus on didactics to specialize, and have way less requirements than NYU dentists to be properly trained. Now whenever I see a Columbia trained dentist, I run.
