As someone who has lived in Mexico: I PROMISE none of my Mexican friends knew what queso dip was. I was in Oaxaca where they have quesillo, a specific kind of cheese traditional to that area. Queso fresco was also common. One day, the other American girls who lived in town had me and our local friends over for a party, and they made queso dip. I think only one of our friends tried it just to be nice, but they all seemed very averse to the idea of American "queso." 😂 TLDR: I lived in Mexico. Mexicans told me it is not native and they think it's weird hahaha

The friends I had who did know about it said it was something that had to have been Tex-Mex at best. Maybe it's a more northern Mexican thing, if it exists up there at all. Never saw it in Southern Mexico. Neither did my indigenous Mexican friends. ☺

cheese plate video, I'm here for it. as far as sour candy and beef, go with the lemon heads, they come in chewy. also for a little trick with the vacuum seal bags, for a slow cooked flavor, liquid smoke mixed with seasonings like steak seasoning or rub, in the bag before the meat. this way it tastes like it's been cooking for hours.

Suggestions for future episodes 1- dry aged vs regular vs waygu 2- smoked vs not 3- grilled vs gas grills which meats taste better on which grill 4- all 5 cooked variations ( blue,rare,medium and well done) 5 - different flavored crust ( butter and sage,butter and garlic, butter and butter and butter and rosemary) Also I think the cheese thing Matthias was talking about is a great idea , another idea is which adult drink best compliments which steak the best , (light beer , lager mixed drinks and even do wine , Also the best steak is a ribeye cooked medium rare with garlic butter and a sprig of rosemary with sauté mushrooms and ue cheese crumbs.
