The weather is the one thing you can’t control or change, so it’s best to try not to stress about it. It poured on our wedding day - literally monsooned - but the wedding was perfect regardless. It’s all about you and Lyle celebrating your marriage with people you love and who love you both, not about the weather. Try your very best to enjoy the process without obsessively concerning yourself with something you can’t control or change. To be honest, we laugh about the weather on that day even all these years later (it will be 30 years for us this winter). Enjoy every special minute, regardless of whether it’s wet or dry.

You have a lovely plan B and that's what counts. Just enjoy every precious moment of your special day! And thank you for being real about the subway incident. I worry about you sometimes, because I know NYC is having problems--I spent time there both in the down 'n dirty 1970s-80s and also in the late 90s, when it was doing very well under solid leadership. I hope good times will come again soon, but I remember how careful I had to be in the old days. Just listen to your intuition--if it tells you to call an Uber/Lyft/cab, don't hesitate. 🙂Have a happy week!

Married on May 7th. Yes outside wedding. Rain not forcasted but poured from noon till 4pm. Wedding at 5pm. Sunnshined bright. And I was surprised how I did not even care when it rained. It wascwhat it was. You'll be fine.

Like you, I have salad every day for lunch. I have not have red meat in decades but do eat some organic chicken and wild caught fish. My vegan doctor has me taking B12 for folks like us. My salad always has tomatoes, avocado, onion and salad. Here are some ways I vary the salad. Onion:red, yellow, shallot or scallions. Salad: always 2 types...e.g. romaine, red or green leaf, boston, arugula, radicchio, et al. Sprouts: pea shoots or other sprouts, like your micro greens. Other veggies I may add are mushroom, pepper, cucumber. In addition for protein, quinoa . Sometimes chick peas or tofu. Fresh basil or dried oregano or other herbs fresh or dried. Wh Ads has a delicious tofu in their prepared foods section. Violife(Wh Fds) and Trader Joes have a delicious non-dairy feta. Honestly, if you vary the salad everyday w a few different ingredients and salad dressing, I doubt if you will be bored. I hope you have beautiful weather on your wedding day, but should it rain...know many traditions consider it good luck...so a win-win.

You need more protein!!!! I make hamburgers in the oven and freeze them. Have that with some veggies. Yes, I worry about you when you do travel through the city. Let's just say your 76 year old cyber granny thinks about you. Crystal has a very good ring to it and aren't as thick as other ones. To splurge is Waterford!!! If it rains you can't do anything about it. Just think of them as tears of joy and happiness on you. Will say a prayer. Stop worrying, not good for you! I always liked smoked gouda, sprouts, tomato and mayo if you want.
