I think my reply got erased. I understand your frustration with me; I have the same with Holmes, like a kid covering his eyes during a scary movie, that’s me. I’ve only been a Yankees fan since 77-78 when my catcher got me hooked on Munson. The lady in-person series I attended was Game 5 in 2001 against Arizona when Knoblauch scored the winning run in the 12th; that stadium was ELECTRIC!! Living in Maine, “red sox country” is fun but I get abused at times but never by another Yankee fan! Hopefully the Yanks put another banner up. Go Yankees!!

@@christianbrown1816 I'm not talking about the hitting at all. The consistently I'm talking about is with the pitching especially the BP. They given up only 8R in 5 of the 7 wins. The BP was absolutely gassed earlier this season and let's be honest Holmes blew a lot of games because he's not a closer. Weaver, Khale, Hamilton(who just came back from injury) and Hill have been solid as of late. Some guys in the lineup, mainly Judge, are slumping at the moment. It's gonna take good pitching and timely hitting to get some of these wins until some slumps are broken out of. I could care less about how ugly these games are as long as they win.

@PACNYY I do agree with alot of you said. What worries me is, for instance alot of games we score like 10 runs, then the next game we don't score and the 3rd game we score 2 or 3 runs. I would just love if I can see a string of games where we score 4,5,6 runs straight 🙏

Besides the slider down the middle of the plate for the homer, Nestor was fantastic! The bullpen overall was great. Holmes was solid when we needed him. What a way to fight into extra innings and come out victorious. Give Soto what he wants in order to extend him as a Yankee. That man is very important to this team.

Holmes is frustrating in the sense that the first two pitches to both batters he faced were absolutely filthy..The two they put the bat on were hung and coulda been hit harder. So inconsistent.

Pitching and defense was outstanding tonight. The bats have to wake up though. Stanton is cold and Volpe has been just terrible (for a bad time, look at his baseball savant page). When the bases are loaded I just don’t have any confidence that they can score.
