Genius naming with Veggienius! I like that they show pictures of almost every item on their menu, the restaurant is modern and spacious, and the open view of the kitchen does remind me of Din Tai Fung. The pineapple drink looks refreshing. 🍍4:52 Vegetarians use mushroom sauce in lieu of oyster sauce. 8:37 Vegetarians eat eggs, dairy, and honey, and vegans don't consume any of those. I’m not a strict vegetarian but I really do enjoy vegetables. When you were leafing through that menu outside, so many of this dishes looked delicious. And your pineapple drink looked really good, too. Your main dish was so interesting looking. I love your “mmms” when you’re trying foods. Your enthusiasm is contagious. That restaurant was beautiful, too. First of all, it looked spotlessly clean and the decor was so minimum and simple. It looked like a very nice atmosphere in which to eat.

Loofah is not a vine- It grows from vines…and is related to squash/ pumpkins… also frequently used to exfoliate in the bathtub! I was skeptical when I first had it- but for squash it is not bad. Loving your Taiwan content already AK- have a great trip!

@AK, wishing you a wonderful time in Taiwan. That loofah vegetable is the same loofah sponge we buy at the store. Once is dried up it becomes a very good bath sponge.

When you eat really good vegetarian food, you definitely do not miss meat! Never had radish cake but made radish dishes via a farm's recipe. Everything looks super awesome. Glad you enjoyed it!! I'll have to look loofah near me (spelling? )

Loofah grows on vines and is a long green squash looking plant. If dried it’s called loofah sponge used for bathing. It is great for exfoliate dead skin.

Speaking of pumpkin, I'm making pumpkin soup today:-) The food looks delicious. You have more courage than me AK if you are traveling alone. I know a lot of people do it but it seems it would be kind of sad and lonely, especially in a place where you might not even speak the language.
