I saw a picture earlier today. It was the text "i only have 500 views" and then it showed a picture of what 500 people actually look like in a theatre room. As a reminder that every view is an actual human, and when you think of it, 500 humans listenting to your message is A LOT !

You are so right. I left a comment on your video yesterday because I am also a new you tuber and my people count is stuck on 9. Just like yours was, so instantly a connection was made. Plus I always check my channel first thing every morning after having uploaded a video the day before hoping to see the view count increase so I could imagine straight away how you would have felt when your video took off. If we can move a persons emotions we stand a better chance of them subscribing. I guess that’s what is meant when people talk about finding your tribe?

Hi Bazz, I went to your channel and I think you should improve the main page, as I am not sure if it's only me, it says no content on this channel. I think that some people may think, when they enter your main page, that you have nothing posted. But to make your day, I have joined your community as a person (not a subscriber like Natalie said) and watched the video and commented. Hope this will help you a bit. Sending best wishes. 😊

Shared experiences absolutely help bring people together. It's good to know that you are not alone. I'm so grateful for the small group of people that have found my channel and connected with what I've been saying. Keep going, that one video will take off and you'll start finding your tribe!

If you do what everyone else is doing, you may grow. If you do what everyone else is doing, when people get bored they will take you to the curb with all the others. I would rather watch people share their fun and their tears; they'll never end up on the curb.

I really like that perspective! On my channels it’s rare when I get a comment that’s longer than one word so I wish I could apply this more. Maybe it’s because my audience is younger I don’t know but I’m definitely of the same mindset.

Small KZbinrs very rarely get comments, let alone longer than 3 words. I know this pain. Trying to convince people to comment, but it is like a nightmare.
@NatalieHamilton20243 күн бұрын
I know! I feel so fortunate that I have received some very thoughtful (more than 3 word) comments over the past few days. I agree that it maybe because you have a younger crowd - I do notice that Gen Xer's seem more likely to take the time to leave comments.

I think comments are all that are needed. I've never been to Ms Anna Lytic's office. Just not interested. Comments tell you whether people are watching, whether they watch till the end. ( I recently put the best minute of video at the very end of a 12 minute fingernails-over-chalkboard video ). Comments share stories about who is watching......from that, I can tailor my next videos. ( I should include this in my upcoming book " How not to grow on KZbin; I Should Have Been a Volunteer Firefighter ". )
