Konami be like "Look how good our animation skills are!" Honestly, they should have made a series out of something like this. Apart from the couple Rush Duel anime series (that don't even have a dub releases and rush duel format and cards are only in Japan), there hasn't been any new yugioh related anime to coincide with the main card game in years.

Sevens got dub releases, but the show's not gonna be aired on public television. I think Konami is planning to start dubbing Go Rush! as well. Also we have the Rush Duel format internationally in an Nintendo Switch video game (being SEVENS) that does not have an updated cardpool and as a new mode in Duel Links.

Pretty sure Dark Magician's skin color being like that is a bit of a modern change to him due to the inconsistency caused by Arcana's Dark Magician. 3:28 nope. I believe that is Azure Eyes Silver Dragon. One of the Blue Eyes Synchro monsters. 4:15 yes, it is a Synchro. I believe that is Trishula. 9:19 look up Sky Strikers.

Magic the gathering is the most complicated. Infinite ways to win, no correct way to build a deck, yugioh doesnt compare. I play both, and magic is more complicated

Magic is more complicated because it has 10,000 cards made in the context of like 30 different game designs since rotation is a thing. The average game of YuGiOh is more complex than the average game of MTG, since our only real officially supported formats are all analogous to eternal formats, Magic has more ways to BE complicated, but the way most people play the game never reaches close to it's full depth.

This would have been a cool mini series, going into the Duel monsters spirit world from GX and 5Ds. But this....... feels like a waste of time, it looked cool, but this is sad.

People don't play YuGiOh anymore. The decks play themselves. You are just there to fish through decks and graveyards as instructed by the cards. Zero fun. Compare that to the feeling of getting that Blue Eyes on the field in a game with your best friend as a kid.

@@erict.miyahira6241 yes in that we all remember our early matches fondly. That doesn't change the criticism of the modern game. The moment you could lose games without getting a turn, there is no way to say the game is about the players, as two players were no longer needed.
