I'm an attorney, Walmart is a private company but public property. The store as a non-filming policy, but from a legal standpoint, it can not stop you from filming in any of their stores or properties with the execption of Sam's, which is a private club. They can ask you to leave, but they can not prohibit the First Amendment right.

@@idkjamesagree it's people who ruined a good thing that don't appreciate how lucky and fortunate it is to be living in the United States yes is true this country has its problems like anywhere else but for the vast majority you are able to go and take your family around with very little to not much and still enjoy a good time. But crime is the problem of people behaving irrationally and erratically just plain old stupid that really makes it bad for those who wanna just have a great time.

Word of caution on the maple syrup: the large plastic bottles are almost always high fructose corn syrup with caramel coloring. The actual (and relatively healthier) maple syrup is often either a smaller glass bottle or non-transparent bottle, often sourced from our northeast states or Canada. Best to read the ingredients to check. And yes, there's a taste difference, too.

The only decent syrup is the Log Cabin, no high fructose corn syrup. Actual maple syrup is delicious & better for you since it's naturally sweet with a few minerals. Mom told while she was on her honeymoon in '72, they stopped at a farmers market type place some state in New England, they were selling gallon size jugs for 6.00. In today's money is about 44.00. There was a lawsuit filed against food manufacturers from maple syrup producers for using "maple" on their labels since there wasn't any maple syrup in it. They relabeled it as syrup or pancake syrup. Last year, I lucked out at Walmart finding on their clearance shelf quarts of maple syrup for 5.00 each. Sadly, I only bought 2. 🙁

A Kiwi here. I visited a Walmart Superstore for the first time about three weeks ago and my reaction was very similar. At all? Not even beer or wine? Well every state is different. Here in Ohio with the exception of the few dry counties. We have a liquor/beer/wine isle. One side is beer the other is wine and anything 40 proof or below. So diluted Vodka, gin and Rum. Tequila rose etc. anything above 40 proof you have to go to a state liquor store to get.

@@jeffhampton2767 It's a one-stop shop to get everything I need at a decent price. I understand your argument, but as long as they provide better service for a better price, they deserve the business. The customer is king, and will bring their dollars to the best option for themselves. If that results in businesses that can't keep up with WalMart, then those businesses deserve to go under. And in my area, there are TONS of small businesses that are thriving right down the street from WalMart. "All" the other stores certainly do NOT go out of business; just the ones that WalMart can out-compete.

Also, filming makes their competitions job a lot easier when they want to track price changes. Obviously online makes it easier too, not sure if everything Walmart sells is posted online, but I personally know competitors that have gone to Walmart just so they can match prices on product..ie they go into a walmart, write down all the prices, and then the next day they lower their own prices and run an ad showing that their prices are cheaper than Walmart's.

These are not simple things. They are monstrously huge things. Food is the #1 thing that is lacking in nearly every country in the world except the US. People huddled in t loosely fabricated tents made of old rags, sown together to make a wall for 4×8 ft tents in freezing winter temperatures. Nothing to burn for heat because goats had eaten all the trees on the island.

This reminded me of the story about Boris Yeltsin visiting a grocery store in the US in 1989. He was shocked at the choices and quantities and was, at first, certain that it was just a setup to impress him. He later wrote: "When I saw those shelves crammed with hundreds, thousands of cans, cartons and goods of every possible sort, for the first time I felt quite frankly sick with despair for the Soviet people," Yeltsin wrote. "That such a potentially super-rich country as ours has been brought to a state of such poverty! It is terrible to think of it."

How many individuals in the US have ever heard this story? There was near panic with the US Secret Service and President Yeltsin's security team. He did not think it was a setup. He picked the store at random. His statement was more of a jest; how could this be? The store he visited was a Randell's supermarket. Which by today's standards was small.

@@softballm1991 The Soviet mind always went first to deception. The first thought was "this is a trick". There are numerous sources that state Yeltsin thought it was a setup (which don't necessarily mean it's correct). What source refutes it?

Thank you for sharing. I remember learning about that in 11th grade AP US history class. Sad to think, though, that our people have become so spoiled (myself included) that we don't appreciate our many blessings. Instead we dread the line, or the crowd, or the walking around, or whatever the excuse is. Personally, I still enjoy going to WalMart way too much. I have to check myself so I don't leave with the whole store.

It's probably been mentioned already. Certain items being locked just depends on the neighborhood or area the store is in. And each state has their own laws on where and when alcohol is sold. Enjoy watching your videos and hope you guys had a great time in the US!

@@donaldbowden2271 the locked-up items depend on the store and what's stolen the most in that store. I'm in NJ, so my store doesn't have guns or alcohol. But guns are always locked up for obvious reasons.

No two Walmarts are the same. The selection of what is sold is different in each region of the u.s.a. The selection can even vary by state or county. Love your videos.
