My brothers live in Christchurch. Last time I visited, we drove past that mosque. Very surreal to think that a mass shooting happened so close to home. It was our country's worst massacre, and the first since the early 1990s. The culprit was an Australian who came here to exploit our relatively lenient gun laws because Australia banned guns after the Port Arthur Massacre. Of course, Prime Minister Ardern immediately banned assault rifles here. It's a shame that America isn't capable of learning that lesson.
