Very slowly but surely. Perseverance and resilience is key. I'm not studying my health and wellbeing cert level 3 to finally properly give back. This is a good way to rehabilitate teenagers. Opens them up to new perspectives. They are also being treated with unconditional love and have the opportunity to grow up with new potential friends. But there could be other problems. Their behaviour may have been influenced by peers and local environmental conditions have to be factored in. Also the dude with the tattoos on his face is a legend. What he talks about at 10:32 is actually a psychological problem named 'Prime'. It's when a person is stimulated with certain words that can evoke a corresponding behaviour. Seeing all those tattoos that speak of the system in a negative light will have an influence in ones subconscious mind and ultimately impact their beliefs and ideals. A very basic example: if you've been thinking of a yellow car (words), you will be more prone to see a yellow car (behaviour).

I believe that’ll help in some way, some of these young Maori/Pacifica men to understand life, hard work, and their worth, and implementing that into their every day lives.

The corrections department have a similar model where they unite young men with their iwi/tribes in the hopes that they’d learn and understand the old way of life, that they too can become great men of society. Unfortunately it doesn’t change everyone, but the ones who do change, reciprocate their learnings back to the youth. It’s an amazing thing.

I grew up in the nakiz,aucks,ngaruawahia and taupo,yip can't count the schools so many.. respect for this program at least yous are doing something.. I chose the streets it was better than some of the homes,I've lived in. I've seen and done stupid shit,can so relate to these boys. I'm a mum of 6 now and love how each and everyone of my children have grown,but I chose to change,you have to truly want to change..love more, show that love, hug, embrace and respect. Growing up didn't like to be touched,to say I love you was never heard of,I don't need to go on. But the day I held my 1st child to my last,I knew what love was and it's awesome feeling.. You guys are doing a great job and your right about farmers owning multiple farms adding to the decreasing number of jobs due to technology and very different farming practices. Farming contractors are whinging about not having overseas migrants coming to NZ because of COVID but they do no institute a program where they actually train NZer's to drive tractors etc its all about sustainability so they say but I don't see them practicing it when it comes to employment.

I have a friend with a son in adult prison for bad choices he made. Turns out he was battling undiagnosed bipolar disorder and CPTSD. We don’t lock up people with cancer but we think its fine to lock up struggling kids. His crimes...let me make it clear, the punishment does not fit the crime. Thankfully my beautiful friend is an angel and encouraged him to finish his education while he does his time. After release she's getting him into counseling. The crap he has seen in prison is disturbing and traumatic. Prison is NOT THE ANSWER. Rage Against the Machine, literally!!!
