Filmed around the Feilding sale yards Manawatu region, North Island, New Zealand. Always a great mix of companies and brands of trucks and a great bunch of drivers. Copyright Will Bishop.

Right in the thick of it there Will. Top effort, thanks. Lots of blasts from the past with those Central Hawkes Bay trucks. Shame Foley's don't still run 'Howling Gale". Has to be either an OSH nightmare or paradise depending on your POV - no high viz in sight or reverse alarms even :-)

Hi Viz vests and reverse alarms are for the low -foreheaded morons who dont possess common sense .

Great reversing skills. It takes lots of experience and practice to become good at reversing and manoeuvring truck and trailer. I know from being a mechanic working on trucks in the past how tricky it is to back trailers into workshops and the like when you are only doing it occasionally.

Where?
@gordy-jt6vg2 жыл бұрын
American, International trks, an U.S. Cars England, Ford's, Bedfords, an Commers, an Ford Zephyrs, Mrk1, 2, 3an 4, Police cars, much of that in old N.Z. photos, No Europe trks, many in N.Z. now because they're cheaper, Fleet cost undercut American trks, an others, much of their ads, are their more comfortable, that's part of the deal with the buyer, to say that, gets him a few $ks off the price. Of course that's b.s. all new trks are comfortable.

There are a lot of euro and a lot of jap trucks just that these guys just video America trucks if I remember right don’t quote me on it but I think it’s Mitsi that are the biggest sellers in N.Z

Bad cambered roads and very windy here in NZ, load weights on axles.
@gordy-jt6vg2 жыл бұрын
more rubber on the road, saves the roads from damage, improves braking, an cornering. On tight corners, the roads aren't been dug out, with twin steer.
