wdym now you can "feel" it. It has always been very intrusive. So much that it can be a detriment if another player runs by the person you are shooting and it pulls your aim away from your target. Thats why QS is the most overpowered mechanic in CoD bc most players have aim assist and a one-shot weapon at all ranges in the games. I play on both inputs and I can say K&M is kinda better for long range as long as you have good aim. You can use the MG82 or AMAX way better on K&M for long range because recoil compensation is much easier but in the end if you can't do the tracking, will make no difference. Now if you use an M13 or Kilo, you will simply hit your long range shots easier with controller, even above 100 meters, which is I think the max distance for Aim Assist to work

I mostly play warzone on console at home and sometimes on pc at a computer club, and I have learned the pros and cons of fov slider many times. On pc with 110-120 fov you go in thinking you will spot people around you easily and laser them with basically no recoil and that is partially true: you have more of your surroundings on screen so you can see stuff you’d miss on console and you have basically no visual recoil at all on 120 fov (let’s just say mp7 was not that much of a laser on console compared to all the cool KZbin videos), BUT everything literally appears much further away, it feels like the red dot was actually a 4x scope and now it’s not zooming in anymore, if you’re playing on standard 1080p, all the long range enemies you can now shoot with no visual recoil appear as fucking pixels so you’re still fucked. There are two sides to every issue and you just can’t have both. The one thing that is fucking absolute about this though, is that fighting someone with melee with 80 fov is fucking impossible, you go for melee and the guy in front just disappears like fucking Harry Houdini! You obviously die, watch the killcam and see him walking around you without a care! The guy is not even running and it feels like you’re fighting the yellow flash of konoha! Just walking in circles while you spin fast enough to open a fucking portal to another dimension! Aside from that fuckfest there really are benefits to low fov, though I’d personally play on 110.

Been a PC player for 25 years, always sit around 1.5 to 2.0 K/D in FPS games (1.6 in Warzone). I switched to console when I had a baby (easier to play in front room and keep an eye on a child), on console I dominated with 3.0+ K/D. Came back to PC 4 years ago and instantly felt that my reactions had slowed massively because of the aim assist given on consoles.

The craziest thing about the whole debate between Console/PC/CONTROLLER/KBM is that both sides think their input is worse, yet no one will plug KBM into their console when they believe KBM has the advantage, but then will argue that it's the 120 FOV. Some people do agree which is nice but the % has to be super small. The only thing I refer to is % of top earners on Controller VS KBM. Top 50 earners for CoD is dominated by controller, only argument that is relevant because the proof is in the winnings.

The problem w kbm on console is the frames. Console wasn’t meant for a mouse, which is why when it’s used on FPS games, it causes major frame tearing, frame drops, and a multitude of other performance issues. It’s not just the FOV.

I can gurantee you that the aim assist on Vanguard guns is even stronger than MW or CW. I've never felt so much aim assist in any game. But God damn, you are chatting shit about FOV. Playing Call of Duty on 80 FOV is a diferrent game compared to 120 FOV. It's not killing you every time, but it just makes you worse because you are constantly tunel visioned. 120 FOV allows you to move way better. Also, if Dead Silence can give a slight FOV boost and it doesn't hurt game performance, then we can be sure that they can at least push it to 100 on consoles.

Of course they could add an FOV slider to next gen consoles. Series X is roughly as powerful as a 2080ti. Obviously a 2080ti can handle an FOV slider without issue. Its just a case of the devs optimising the game properly for the new systems. Whether they will or not remains to be seen.

Fov for new gen will work just fine in warzone once they fix the issues they created with caldera. Verdansk new gens could have handled it with ease. In verdansk, I was at 120 fps consistently. Now they've broken everything and we keep getting stuck at 60. Fov slider will work just fine once they unfuck what they broke

I 'm KBM native but swap to controller when I get fed up. Controller is broken beyond belief, and takes away any skill. Movement is easier (no dead slides), hitboxes are more generous somehow, and the recoil is far lower. That's why I like games like BF. I'm high 1.8 KD on Caldera so not a bot.

On Vanguard for console they have this dope feature where you can crank the fov to 120 but still have the default fov when you scope in. I thought it was pretty sick because you made a good point about not being about to see which is why 100 fov is perfect for me.. much better than 60 fov haha. Also good point about console not being about to handle it.. I think that might very well be true. Also I must add that I've had some of my craziest gameplay on 120 fov simply because the movement looks so freaky fast that I was just doing everyone in up close challenging everything.
