To answer your question, the mochis are just literal reskins of the vitamins. They give 10 evs in the stat and the only difference is that you don't have to spend billions buying them

also a bit of info, in the crystal pool area, there is a cave behind the mound of land on the other side of the pool that leads to feebass' only spawn point in the wild, so if you need one, there you go, you also can challenge a trainer there

The Teal Mask’s lore is that it can bring back dead vegetation to life. Kieran was still holding it when he punched the Loyal Three’s memorial. So he must’ve revived them accidentally.

A detail I love about the signpost selfies. In the first 2, Kieran is doing meek imitations of your poses, happy to be with you, looking up to you as a friend and wanting to be like you. But in the 3rd photo, he's doing a completely different pose, turned away from our character, giving us a side eye. He feels like we betrayed him by not telling him the truth of Ogerpon and no longer wants to sync up with our pose and expression. He doesn't want to look up to a liar.

He clearly gave us a chance... It's realistic, if you got betrayed by someone you were enjoying to be with them so much, you would give a final chance to fix their mistakes. We were forced to miss it, forced to break him down and steal his dream. Also, it's tragic in the 3rd signboard that whether you chose which option, his response for "You're right" / "Sorry..." were "You think so too... huh, [ ]?" / "...For what?" already indicated he knew you are lying in your pov, that's why our pose in 3rd has an awkward smile.

Honestly, idk if you've ever seen Higurashi, but this storyline just kept making me think of it: the player being a city kid coming to this rural village before a festival (kinda like how Keiichi comes to Hinamizawa shortly before Watanagashi), being forced to keep secrets of the events that occurred during the festival, Kieran's LIAR breakdown and unhinged scratching, and the "evil" god (or Legendary, in this case) actually being a good guy. There's a few weird coincidental parallels.

My theory was that Ogrepon shrinks away from Kieran because it can sense the darkness growing in his heart. He needs his real redemption arc before he can have that kind of bond with a pokemon like Ogrepon. That being said, it could be me just reading too much into it.

It's Japanese belief that disrespecting a shrine can disturb and enrage the souls of the ones interred there. So the prevailing theory is they came back to life because Kieran punched their shrine thus disturbing their rest. It's also a common belief that spirits feed off of negative emotions, so his anger and angst could have also been a catalyst.

Okidogi is Poison Fighting (suggest using psychic for 4x damage or ground), Munkidori is Poison Psychic (use ground, dark or ghost) and Fezandipiti is Poison Fairy (which I learned the hard way, use steel psychic or ground, don't be fooled by this one like I was, thinking it was flying). Despite being a bird pokemon Fezandipiti isn't a flying type, and it doesn't have Levitate either so it can take supereffective ground type damage, hence it's poison typing. Just trying to be helpful. Solid work, my man!

Another thing worth mentioning is that when capturing them I recommend Ghost or Steel (Aegislash is the only pokemon with both of these types but is not in the game) against Okidogi and Dark Steel against Munkidori (like Kingambit). their movesets are dangerous as if they were designed to be able to stand up to Level 100s, but these types render the poison fighting and psychic moves useless. Strangely enough, Fezandipiti poses the least threat of the three because he only has one actual attacking move, Beat Up, in which the amount of damage dealt depends on how many Pokémon are in your team. But because Fezandipiti is a wild Pokémon, this move will do almost nothing, unless it's super effective. It also has Flatter, Swagger and Roost, the latter can "erase your progress" of weakening it, so watch out.

My first attempt at catching Monkidori ended in failure coz it wiped my team. I then realized its attacking moves only were Poison and Psychic moves, which meant it could not touch Kingambit at all, so I brought my underleveled Kingambit for the fight, first paralyzing it with Thunder Wave and lowering its HP with Super Fang with my Maushold, then once they went down I went into my Kingambit which just sat there and watched as Monkidori couldn't do a thing! Then I just spammed Ultra Balls, eventually Timer Balls and caught it. My first attempt at catching Okidogi also ended in failure, but because I accidentally KO'ed it, but I spent about 20 or so Ultra Balls before catching it, with paralysis and red HP. Fezandipiti was caught within a few Dusk Balls, I think, it was the fastest one for me to catch, on the first attempt too. Was surprised to learn from the dex that Okidogi was Poison/Fighting and not Poison/Dark like I thought it was, perhaps due to Crunch and for some reason because it was weak to Ground and Carmine's reaction to its Ground weakness made me think it was its only weakness. I also thought the pheasant was Flying at first, but when it used a Fairy move, I figured it was Poison/Fairy, and sure enough as I caught it, the dex confirmed it. I figured Monkidori was Poison/Psychic already in the very first battle at the Dreaded Den coz it used a Psychic move and its ability Toxic Chain made me think it was probably Poison type, and that's also when I figured the other two might be Poison too, coz the dog certainly doesn't look like a Psychic type, and they likely had a type in common, considering how similar they look.

@@Rubywing4 I had the same sort of problems with Munkidori. I got them all eventually but it was mostly luck. Okidogi wasn't that much of a hassle tbh, but it's most dangerous was Superpower, good thing I had a ghost type Skeledirge to render the move useless. Fezandipiti was even easier because of it only having 1 actual offensive move, it was just more stubborn. But Munkidori is the biggest pain you will ever experience, if you don't use Kingambit, it will defeat your entire team and you are unlikely to catch the damn thing before that happens, unless you get lucky. I went in with level 100 mons and still had trouble, it has Psychic, Sludge Wave, Future Sight and Nasty Plot. Of course, Kingambit was the best option to counter the boosted special attack combined with the occasional critical hits. Because steel types are immune to poison, Toxic Chain will NEVER work on them.

I feel like the closest move to ascend is if a ghost type used a really really really strong magnet rise Magnet rise makes any Pokémon (that can learn it) float, and the ghost type would go straight through the thing it’s “ascending” through

I finished the DLC last night and am honestly blown away by how good the story was. They’re continuing to make the new legendary so likable. I didn’t even like Ogerpon’s design but it is honestly one of my favorite legendaries now solely because the story made me feel so attached to it. Not to mention the character design.. I mean exhibits A and B, Perrin and Carmine.

There was a mystery Champion of Blueberry Academy in one of the trailers, and we didn't see their face. Kieran says that he wants to be the best Trainer there(or could be if he trained hard enough, don't remember which), so I'm guessing that he will be said Champion.

I don't see the point in feeling bad about it. The game railroads you into the choice. It's forced on you with no option otherwise. I mean, what are you gonna do, *not* play the DLC you paid for? Story railroading aside, this entire situation is more on Kieran's family than us. Grandpa shouldn't have kept it from Kieran when he told Carmine and a total stranger, and Carmine shouldn't have kept the fact we saw Ogerpon from him. Hell, even just saying "I think we just saw the ogre" would have made Kieran's entire arc different. Kieran takes it out on us, a kid he's known for literally a day, instead of his sister or Grandpa, that are the ones actually keeping the *family secret* from him.

9:18 I think the Pokémon move most closely related to Ascend would actually be Dive. Link jumps upwards in a diving position until he reaches a surface, then swims through it until he reaches the top. He can also choose to return to his starting point if he so chooses & dives back down to where he started, like how Dive is used to both dive under the water & return to the surface.

One thing just occurred to me. Ogerpon is a grass type, and the Loyal Three are poison types. This little dude got so mad that his master died, he went 1v3 against pokemon with a type advantage on him, and still kicked their asses. That is a moment of awesome, if I ever saw one.

My theory for why the "Loyal" Three decided to wake up from their graves at that time is this. Since the Teal Mask was in your possession, and Ogerpon was most vulnerable without it, they must have sensed its presence, and must have been like, "Now's our chance to get that brat's final mask and get our revenge on her!" and decided to wake up to try an attempt to finish their theft. So in truth, they weren't actually dead, they were exhausted from being defeated and decided to retreat and rest until the moment to finish stealing the Teal Mask was right.

It took me until just now to get that Ogrepon and the Loyal Three are based on the story of Momotaro, with the Loyal Three being Momotaro's animal companions and Ogrepon representing Onigashima, the land of ogres/demons. I really want someone to give Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti the names Akainu, Kizaru, and Aokiji, respectively which are the names of the Admirals in One Piece because both sets of three are based on Momotaro's animal companions.

@@TechnoArpan Grabbing someone by the shirt collar and dragging them is violence. Apart from that, she was verbally violent towards Kiran the whole story, when the actor arrives at their house on one occasion she is angry at Kiran for bringing them and when the grandmother and grandfather comment on the verbal violence she used towards Kiran she says "it's not that bad, it's not like I beat him" what Which implies that not only is she verbally abusive towards Kiran on a regular basis but she is also physically abusive towards him. When Kieran steals the mask she yells at him and then acts innocent when Kieran is angry with her and you can understand from his words that this is not the first time she has lied to him which further increases the fact that she is a self-centered who does everything for her own goal. and this behavior of hers also created the complication of Kieran's mental state, she also regularly diminishes Kiran and his abilities like she did at the festival. She is really not a good sister, she is manipulative, a liar and self-centered, egotistical and needs all the attention on her and probably also xenophobic to a certain extent. Kieran is not selfish in the slightest and misbehaving? Thats a stretch .

The wings actually have a cooldown. The longer you fly, the longer it takes to reopen once to stop. There is also around 1-3 seconds where you just can’t open them anyway.

During the Kieran fight for the mask, you missed Dipplin's Supersweet Syrup actually activated Competitive, so you killed the Poliwrath with a +6 super effective Tera Blast. Milotic baiting the Dipplin is a good way to cheese these battles Edit: I spelled mask wrong
