I have the Mad Max 20 as well. I *love* the built in bluetooth for tuning instantly. I also love that there is way more settings to tweak than the Max4. And while I am no high end racer/basher, my 5ive T running this ESC on 12S with a 6-pole TP 800kv motor just absolutely rips.

So what’s the verdict with the mad max? What’s the max kv for the mad max? Looking to replace my max 4 in my fg with the mad max just wanted to see if it’s worth it

@@press4258 It supports more amps than the Max4, spec wise, handling 400A continuous. The max RPM is 120k for 4-pole motors and 80k for 6-pole motors.

I had my last xlx2 blow my 350 servo my 100.00 reciver my 10000mah cnhl 4s liops TWICE after 2 or three runs!!! Now my max5 g2 combo is nasty on 8s. Ill never run castle until they come with a game changer non explosive 8s to 12s monster and they still asleep obviously. Big fan btw and i found 3 brute bodies for my k8s if you need one i got you they haven't made them in a minute!!! Lmk

Finally some content on real world experience of this esc. Madmax claim 400amp constant 12s compared HW max 4 300amp constant. In theory we should see higher performance. Would be nice to see a comparison on the same rig with the same motor just swapping out the esc from hw to madmax.

That's the wild part I have logs of max4 consistently maintaining 400 to 450 ish constant amps and 750 peak amps. I will see what I can do, but I am almost sure performance should be similar if different then not by much

The first 15 reports are that MAD MAX20 is stronger, more modern, more resistant and better built than the ESC mentioned by you. It is not only Hobbywing and Castle that know how to produce ESCs.

​@@KiloWattRCthats similar figures to what i getting however i never peaked 750😂 my max4 was paired with lmt3080 875kv. Handled it like a champ on conservative gearing. True that motor would be better paired with the MGM 50063 but i bash my rig and need a cheaper amd more durable esc like HW. Good to see you testing as i may pair this up👍🏼
