By the looks of things, you used the pieces for the rock, to support the unit that has the door opening mechanism, as they probably look similar in the instructions. It's been awhile since I built mine, but I do remember being frustrated with the build, largely because it looked like corners were cut, to save bricks, making it difficult to apply pressure to parts that sat on top. I found this on a lot of the sections above the door level. The instructions weren't always clear, either, so I ended up doing a lot of backtracking to resolve mistakes that I'd made. I had a few bit missing, but fortunately, they were just surface pieces that didn't stop me building. Show. Z got me the pieces and once I got through the frustration of building itI'm mostly pleased with it, now it's fine, although I would have liked a picture of the interior corridor to put behind the door, fire when it's open. Who knows? Maybe a corridor section is on the cards? I terms of scale, I think of it was a bit wider, I think it would work better, but that would be impractical for most. I'd be interested to see if anyone does that with a second set.

Thanks for the honest review. I don’t even have enough time to open any of my Transformers that don’t arrive in the mode I want to display them! I certainly don’t have the time to build a his set. I would be so bummed if I invested hours into building it only to discover missing or incorrectly colored pieces! Thanks for posting…

Yeah..and sometimes a figure takes an Ihr and a half to transform like NA (Mista) DOTM Sound wave .Then dealing with 3rd party lots figures are really complicated.Alot of instructions are pretty vague or non at all.I still try transform all my figures atleast.

This set looks great and is simply a great idea but the execution is not the greatest as the QC is appalling. Love the door function though.

I'm so tempted by this set but your review has left me very reluctant to part with my hard earned for something so apparently subpar (even at the discounted price). There seem to be lots of gaps in the pieces, is that due to tolerance issues with the bricks or a lack of (inability to apply) sufficient pressure when building?

Now I could say to you to go and get it with my code. But I’m going to be totally honest. I sold mine on within a week. I’ve got 3 kids so have obviously had cheap knock off lego before. This was easily the worst. But not just that. They cut so many corners. Too many gaps and it’s too fragile. Hopefully we will get an official and better release in the future

@@ToysareRuss thank you for your honest response. I appreciate it. I've had this set in the back of my mind for months now, especially since it's so heavily discounted. However I had no clue it was a brick set rather than a Boulder Hill type set, until I watched your videos. I too love the David mould and that trans blue version looks great. However I'm not sure if the price justifies a recolour figure if the brick set is so poor. I'm very familiar with the Lego system but have zero experience with any knock off sets, so your comments are invaluable. I still haven't completely decided to write it off but the idea of having to wait for Show.Z or Newage to provide any missing parts and such a big mess of parts hanging around in the mean time is a BIG demotivator.

Hey weird request but does G1 Optimus Prime fit through the door or is he too tall

I think he’s a fraction too tall. There is 1.5 inches clearance above Newage primes head but the g1 prime is bigger than that. I’ll get a photo done and put u soon

Congratulations on building it with your son. I bought this set too. The sale price was so good I could not pass it up. I enjoy building LEGOS. Guess I’m in for a rude awakening once I start building it.

Yeah it’s definitely not up to actual Lego standards. Plus there’s loads of gaps so when you apply pressure the walls fall in etc.

It’s 2603 pieces. It’s way more complicated than any Lego I’ve built. But that’s due to how poor the instructions are.
