It's weird. Had they just not included brake calipers no one would have complained. I don't know why they'd wanna shoot themselves in the foot with such a trivial feature when the rest of the toy is so great. It's like they needed to give people reasons to complain.

@9ine9ine1ne stoopid It ain't so much that they're not pressured, as it is the pandemic slowing everything to a crawl. I ordered that Legendary Toys LT02 (MPM4 Optimus Prime KO) from a Chinese seller on eBay in May, it came like a couple weeks ago. Hell, it's even slow as paint drying within the US for me; a strategy guide for Pokémon Let's GO Pikachu/Eevee that I ordered in April? What should've taken a couple days wound up taking three weeks.

I think he looks perfect with MPM Jazz and Alien Attack’s “Firage”... or just any official MPM figure and some of the third party ones in general. It just looks so official. It’s hard to even believe that Jazz and Soundwave are built by completely different manufacturers with near identical quality. They even got away with the Mercedes logo on the front somehow, though I’d imagine it’s most likely because it’s more of a simplistic shape as apposed to something like Lamborghini, Ferrari or letters like with GMC, Mack and Hummer for example. I personally don’t think we need things like oversized Black Mamba figures. I think the official figure sizes are just fine as they are. None of them look out of place even if they aren’t 100% to scale, but it’s not like we have much to go on in the movies themselves anyways, so... But yeah, I love this figure, I’m surprised how faithful it is to the CGI model, especially considering that it transforms into a car like that. MPM figures are black magic I tell you! Seriously, it’s got to be some witches making those, because I can’t even wrap my head around the simpler engineering of the earlier G1 styled masterpieces with figures like MP-10. But this. This is just a whole new level. I don’t like the Bayformers movies themselves, but *wow* do most of their robot deigns look good. They might not all be faithful to the G1 representation like with Optimus Prime, Jazz and Shockwave, but that’s honestly not entirely a bad thing since this is obviously supposed to be a much different take. It’s like real life meets the aesthetic of steampunk. It’s great. A shame that most of them are just cannon fodder for one or two of the actual movies though only to never be brought up again. Not like it matters since the films are pretty crappy overall anyways, but I digress. The execution for those were bad, but I do like some of its ideas at least, so there’s that. Lovely looking figure. I don’t have any transformers figures myself yet, but if I’m going to ever get any Decepticon ones, then this guy is easily in my top 5 must’s to get. I hope we see more movie styled figures from Newage, because for *this* being their first one, it is just already the perfect version of DOTM Soundwave, no questions asked. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

Zachary Jorgensen That’s your OWN personal opinion. The movies weren’t overall crappy. At least not all of them. The first and 3rd movie were good movies, The 2nd and 4th has their flaws but has it’s goods as well and the 5th movie is definitely not good. The execution were not that bad. The overall cgi, action, movements and voices of the robots were done well. While not being the best series to get into transformers, The bay movies has their pros and obvious cons but not to the point they’re overall crappy. They could’ve benefitted with giving the robot cast more screen time and making the human characters less centric.

@@easportsbro Yeah what I meant by being overall crappy are the human portions. 9 times out of 10 they're full of bad acting. If it was more centered on the robots, then the movies would've been made and fleshed out a lot better. I can excuse the first film a little since its the first time they're on Earth even if a lot of the human segments are still cringy, but afterwards it really should've just mainly been about the transformers themselves since that's the namesake of the movies and is more interesting in concept to develop lore around. But since the humans are still in these movies, they got carried away and started to lose track of what happened especially by the time of TLK. Had they just been 95% about them, then they probably wouldn't be as poorly received as they are. They cared more about star power than the actual characters in the movie, which is very unfortunate. Had that been the case then characters like Jazz, Soundwave or Lockdown would've been utilized a lot better. Oh well, I'm just glad these figures exist and that more are starting to pop up now. This is what things like stop motion is for.

Zachary Jorgensen The human portions weren’t 9 out of 10 all crappy acting. I’d say at least 3.9 out of the 10. There were plenty of scenes of good acting with human characters. Yes even in ROTF, AOE and TLK despite the acting in those 3 movies not being all that great. Both TF1 and DOTM were the best when it came to the acting of those human characters. Hell even scenes with humor were funny when that Bay-ish comedy actually landed and worked to make people laugh, Especially in both ROTF and DOTM. Bay’s style of acting for the human portion of characters constantly switches tones from humor, bit of cringe, seriousness then humor and it goes on. That kind of style of acting shouldn’t really belong in live action movies about 2 factions of giant robots fighting a war on earth but in the end it did for straight 5 films and I personally don’t mind it since I got used to that constant Bay acting from TF1. You’ll likely find me ridiculous of me saying this but most of those human scenes (Especially scenes with the transformers with them) are what made the Bayverse what it is today. Sure the Bayverse could’ve been way better with main focus on the actual transformers characters, Yet the stories in the first 5 films did a well enough job at least involving the transformers. Even Prime, Megatron and Bee were done good as consistent main characters while the rest, Yeah not so much. Even Megatron got some development in DOTM and Prime in AOE. I do agree that afterwards TF1, The movies should’ve been more centric on main name of the films and definitely explore more lore. I feel AOE was one of films to explore some of that lore with the whole “creators flashback” and “Lockdown’s Knightship”. Hopefully the Bumblebee Universe explores a lot of it’s lore like “The Great War of Cybertron” and most importantly having the main focus be all on the transformers for movies part of that universe. You’ll probably disagree with most of my comment and that’s fine. I’ll still respect your opinion.

The Pontiac Solstice and the Merceded SLK AMG are basically the same size. They have almost identical wheel base and widths, and the Solstice is about 1 inch shorter in height and 5 inches shorter in length. So the car modes scale really well with each other.

He's on the way, so excited.gonna fit so well with my MPM esque Shockwave that's also coming. God I LOVE DOTM. I plan ot make some drone customs. We NEED MPM Sentinel and DOTM Megatron. I hope Zeus/BMB/WJ do the same thing they did with the shockwave, or especially those Optimus', to the SS Sentinel Prime. Oh what a dream. Rubber tires, diecast, weathering, LED's, you name it.

The NewAge Mista looks much better in alt mode then the official MPM Jazz. Beautiful figure. The arm proportion especially looks much better then the MB version. That leg transformation looked painful. Thank-you for the review Ben.

ZS-01 is just a flawed upscale of the studio series Shockwave that can't handle the added weight. There is also a Dream Factory version I believe that's going to come out eventually, and they're already well known for making their own new version of movie Bonecrusher, so I would look forward to that if they're still making it. And even if they aren't, this isn't to say that some other third party company will make one of their own. Newage Mista is a completely new figure with no reuse of past molds. It's all original and has the same quality you'd expect out of the MPM figures like Jazz and Barricade, and therefore also as equal as the third party quality you'd expect out of DX9 La Hire and Alien Attack Firage.

@@adamluther5836 my dragoon comes with broken knee when i open the box, when i bent it slides like butter so i perform a surgery, and find out 1 of the pillars that holds the knee joint was broken an bent with an obvious stress mark, thankfully 3 weeks later i got the replacement parts, so i even once receive a original third party figure

Did they ever do an oversized bayverse soundwave? I'd love an os soundwave tricked out with high quality paint apps and build quality. I enjoy g1 mps in the scale their takara scale but the movie figures really need the larger size and better paint apps ko companies do to reach their full display potential. Love they way they look in my displays next to my hot toys figures and the like.
