I went to New York when I was 15 years old in 1986, my moms camera got stolen when we went to Bronx, and I wanted to see graffiti! I am an old school GRAFF writer from Gothenburg Sweden Wild CRAZ and love these videos. Great job

R.I.P John "NACE" Zimkus... One of my favorite artist. His life was short lived, he passed at the age of 26 on his way to Scribble Jam in 2001. 5:17

That's North Newark. Mc Carter Highway. We used to play on those train tracks growing up as kids in the projects. Those tracks and the freight trains ran right through our backyard in the projects, headed north in the direction you're walking. The projects were Arch Bishop Walsh Homes on Mc Carter Highway and Grafton Ave, until they were eventually demolished. That gnarly building you're referring to was the FAN FACTORY. Everybody broke it and stole fans, sets of dishes, and other appliances. As a young kid growing up, I went inside, right through those broken windows you're looking at, with some older teenagers, and the Newark Police caught us inside. We were trying to hide from them, but they had dogs that sniffed us out. I was too young to go to jail, so they called my mother to come pick me up. Boy, did I get an ass whipping that day. "Those were the days." Hood-Life. #BrickCity

The one u thought was bleek is not. It’s SYKO SGK MD. newark native wild style master. The original wall was MD / MAYHEM “droids” production. Nace, chip, syko, and merz iirc.
@dkrecordsNYC4 жыл бұрын
@@TheGraffitiWanderer nbd...SYKO doesn't get a lot of attention nowadays and doesn't have much left living but he was burning in that style since the early 90s and helped put on central jersey cats like Nace et al to paint in newark in the 90s...it was a lot different back then, rolling into any spot you wanted wasn't how it went...

How much money am I making? Lol... i got a regular job, pay bills, barely make it pay check to pay check. What is it you feel is being taken away from you. I been out in Newark going back 20 years doing this same stuff. So get your facts straight. The day I make some money doing this I’ll let you know.
@TheGraffitiWanderer3 жыл бұрын
Reason I respond to you is because there’s dozens of fake cornballs out there that are feeding off the culture you should be barking at. You got the wrong dude. Do you know how many losers drive their car out there just to snap a few pictures for Instagram likes that don’t know shit about the history. Never heard of half these writers that passed away. Takes me a little over and hour to get out there and I’m on foot. I don’t know anyone else that puts in that effort.
