Thank you for this wonderful presentation. I used it in conjunction with the Jeanette Winter picture book, "Follow the Drinking Gourd." My fourth grade music class was held in rapt attention while Ms. James portrayed Charity. Fabulous educational piece!

This is beautiful. Thank you to the writer and actress. I wrote a monologue based on a mural in southern Georgia based on few accounts of their family. My monologue won awards and it's sparked a fire under me. A fire to explore, and tell, many more African American stories.

Lady, you are sooo precious! I am from the south and I can relate to what you're speaking of. By the way, I am a 71yr. old white man. You are doing a great job. Keep up the good work. It was very interesting.
