I got mine 4 days ago been on it twice. and I'm a big dude 270 I'm surprised this thing handles my weight. I haven't perfected getting off it yet but I'm getting better.

Im 250 and ride just about every day. One thing i can tell you is the motor is working harder for everything us heavier people do. All the tips out there are for lighter people. Battery range and hills aren't our friends 😂. Have fun and wear pads.

I just tried a OW for the first time at work as one of my colleagues has a Pint X, i only watched videos of people riding OW´s but i been a skateboarder for a lot of my life so i managed to step up without any help and ride around going around tables and chairs. It felt extremely natural for me to ride on it. Now i am saving up for a GT and will hopefully be able to get one next spring/summer

That's awesome! Even my limited skateboard and snowboard experience helped me learn the OW quickly... I enjoy the hell out of the GT, even though it hasn't been perfect. Future motion was able to fix my issues while it was under warranty and it's been riding like a dream since I've gotten it back. I've logged nearly 600 miles on my GT now ☺️

Amazing, instructions.. i just tried my GT.. and i am a one wheel EVER newbie.. i practiced but i was terrible and still having trouble by moving forward.. BUT i feel with this advice i will have a easier time.. thanks man.

The way I always teach people to help turn is by telling them to push their toes into the ground or their heel. Imagine pushing it to the corner down a little bit. Gives a nice simple turn. That's how I taught my friend on his pint x anyway!

I got my Gt 4 days ago im learning on grass and dirt. I fell at 15 mph running from some big dogs down a dirt road 😅. Long story short I hit a speed record that day I got away with a scrapped elbow and no chewed @$$. Who knew knowing how to fall properly would come in handy.

Just rode a Onewheel GT for first time this week. And yes stopping and getting off is the worst/hardest part. Hopping off seems to be the only safe option in most cases as the heel dismount is sketchy as hell. Also glad to see you're wearing a full face helmet. You wouldn't get car insurance that only covers the roof of your car so why would you wear a half shell helmet that gives zero protection to your face???

You'll get used to the heel lift dismount over time but I agree, mad sketch. What I found helpful, is to level the board, and expect for it to take longer than expected to dismount. Also lift your heel and foot off the board until you feel like only your toes (or even toe nails) are the only thing making contact. A relaxed heel lift still has too much contact due to the ball of your foot.
