Ran that frame with a HM x12. It was LEGIT! I used the same flow motors but with the x12 and runcam. Deff how that set up should be flown. Loved it. NBD just allllmost gets it right... almost. So I made it better. Deff suggest anyone who loves this frame to try it with the x12. Probably my favorite toothpick. Tri blades are where it's at tho jussayin

This thing flies so well and is tuned out the Box . Only gripe I had about it was I felt it was a little too expensive for what it is but the quality is great. I do agree that the camera filtering is muddy but you can disable the OSD in Beta flight and it will make the picture better

We need a descent prop for this class. There’s been the now forever rumor that gemfan has a new biblade and it would make sense to fill the gap as the rest of the size range seems well covered.

Bi blades ARE the best don't even try tri blades on this. I've owned it for 3 months and know everything about it and how it reacts to different setups

Again, great review. I have nothing with regards to the performance, cuz I ain't got one. But that will change. As far as proprietary stuff and rolled pins, it is based on their on their name "Newbee"...newbie. When my plugs wear out, I will do whatever makes sense performance wise. Perhaps solid pins. You are perhaps in a select few that can influence these companies. So keep doing it and newbies like me benefit unknowingly, lol. Oh, I support NBD too, financial wise, almost weekly, lol. Brushed motors, fragile props, and stuff...much love.

Awesome review. I built, at the same weight a twig 3" frame, x12 aio, external vtx, running on 1103's on 2s. Flys awesome, great in tight spaces easier than my 2 and 2.5"micros, super-controllable, tough. i used the bf 4.4 UAV Tech 2-4s toothpick preset and it's locked on in flight. flies like meh if you add the weight of the thumb pro tho.

ah yea, great rippage on the mosquito Heads! wow it actually does look tuned good, too bad i am still healing from all the previous stingers from that bee. good honest review, appreciate it man!

My opinion is your flying is awesome.

I feel the same about the camera and price. I'd rather build something at this size and have a better camera and vtx and a cheaper fc.

I checked multiple times to make sure I wasn't on 144p while you were flying. If it weren't for your hands being in 1080p I would have never believed it. Otherwise, it looks like a blast to fly.

Yo man love the vids. Just got my crux 3,2s do you know if the antenna for it has to be LH or RH. Thx
@InfinityLoops Жыл бұрын
Shouldn't really matter just get matching for receiver and transmitter.
@cyclops-fpv Жыл бұрын
Crux 3 use's a dipole antenna so best use 1 linear patch and 1 omni directional antenna on the Google's.

How hard would it be to convert this to HDZero do you think?
@maikwerner7325 Жыл бұрын
Nice ripview ;) To improve the pic quality. Do you think switching to an HDZero or Walksnail VTx would work well with this Quad and won't hurt its performance to much? Or would you suggest something completly different instead of upgrading the VTx+cam side of things?
@cold-frontin_penguin7902 Жыл бұрын
The fun factor would definitely go down because it would be heavier but you could do it With HD0

This is the old school 2.5in toothpick formula. Very fun to fly as a ultralight rig.

When you ditch the bi blades and go with the 25 series tri blades from Gemfan this thing becomes an AWESOME ripper with serious speed and snappiness. On the bi blades it was mediocre but with the tri, it's AMAZING!!!! Competes or even better than the TP3 3s when it's on the tri blades. Let me emphasize this again. Tri the tri's. If you don't, you'll regret it for the rest of your life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Hmm I found it to fly very well on the stock bi-blades. I'll try to tri blade, I have some here. Thank you.
@cold-frontin_penguin7902 Жыл бұрын
Triblades are garbage on this lots of prop wash and it's too heavy and not snappy like the bi blades that come with it
@NotOfThisWorld567 Жыл бұрын
@@cold-frontin_penguin7902 You are absolutely incorrect about that, friend. Couldn't be more wrong. But you stick with your slow bi blades while I'm looping around you with my tri's.
@NotOfThisWorld567 Жыл бұрын
@@InfinityLoops Right on man! I liked it on bi's. It is my favorite NBD for sure. I just felt it was a bit subdued, like I used to be on Fleaxarils. Heh. Hope to hear or see what you think after the tri's.
@Crusader4633 Жыл бұрын
It'd be easy enough to just swap to an XT-30 for battery compatibility. It's kind of a thing with NBD stuff anyway, since they ship their 1s products with rolled PH2.0's and most people would want solid pin (or better, BT2.0).
@InfinityLoops Жыл бұрын
I believe most who would be interested in purchasing a bind and fly quad are likely not interested in having to solder on it immediately. NBD should consider this and just use a more readily available plug on things like bnfs.
@Crusader4633 Жыл бұрын
@@InfinityLoops Very true, but NBD gonna NBD ya know? :) Note: I like their stuff, just some weird choices.
@InfinityLoops Жыл бұрын
Haha yes, they will. I want them to improve and grow as a company, especially since they are one of the biggest ones in the US. I'd love to support them even more and buy all their stuff, but it's such a pain sometimes for no reason. Oh well. We can try to help them with feedback, but at the end of the day it's up to them.
@dubzsquaredfpv7171 Жыл бұрын
In general I wish NBD would stop doing proprietary stuff. Use normal motor plugs. Use normal OSD. Stop putting diversity antennas on a whoop that perform the same as a single antenna on every other manufacturer's product. Just build a solid reliable FC that works with every other damn component on the market. I might even be willing to pay their exorbitant prices if they'd do these things.

It does fly really Sharp(CRISP) maybe the OSD overlay they have doesn't do 100 transparency. I thought OG uses the beeeye for his whoops with different flight controllers or I could be mistaken about that. Well 90 percent Johannes review. Hope your sinuses are clear teehee. Almost made my eyes water.
@InfinityLoops Жыл бұрын
Correct, OG told me last night he does use Beeeye with other non-NBD fc and doesn't have the dark image issue. Unfortunately, I recorded this several days ago and didn't have that info just yet. Sinuses are crystal clear today 🌶

no really .. the only thing i dont understand why some brands are trying so hard to be different in things like battery connectors... its like we will have a 5inch from them and they will put a deans plug on it that you cant use it with your batteries, you need to buy the new batteries from them lol i think they are targeting people who are fresh in the hobby and wont solder regular xt30 to it
