The djembe , ghatam and chenda the percussion instruments are totally unnecessary for this arrangement. Adds to the cacophony and distorts the music. The instruments are out of synch. Further I don’t think narrative is not if American return!!

the tamil words, the way how its arranged in this song convey emotions, its called IRATTAIKILAVI & ADUKKUTHODAR in Tamil grammar which is 2300 years old atleast which the tamils follow even today. its so poetic and cute the way words are arranged to convey the meaning. in olden days, kings would heavily shower them with riches for such kind of poetic mastery over the language. artisticccc

Tamil is most definitely not the oldest language on Earth. Tamil definitely has a long and rich literary tradition, but honestly, no language on Earth is truly the "oldest" languages change over time. Old English is by no means the same as Modern English, it's just an ancestor to the language that is now English. Same thing with Tamil. Old Tamil is different. Language changes, that's just how it is.

Rajni comes to 'Tamil Nadu' from USA. So which place is going to have "Baleilakka"? Is it Salem? Is it Madurai? Is it Madras? Is it Trichy? Is it Tirutani? No.. "Baleilakka" is for the entire people of Tamil Nadu!!! Then the song talks about the life of people in Tamil Nadu, their geographic area, food, games, culture, innocence, honesty, helping tendency etc., and even goes on to say that the Tamil Nadu that Rajni entered is equivalent to America! :-)

Actually this the best. You have done great accent work, claps for that. Another thing, we have songs in the movies to entertain the audience. You know what, in this stress life we go to theatre for entertainment and relaxation. Only by the story you will not be entertained. But with this songs we can enjoy both inside and outside the theatre by hearing the song. That is the reason for songs in the movie. And tamilans we have to agree that, A.R. RAHAMAN has great share in spreading our language. He had done his best and still doing. He make us proud and We have to do the same. I write this in English so that everyone studying this will understand. தமிழன்டா.
