Newborn Beluga - 2023 Gillig Low Floor Plus Hybrid - Santa Clara VTA Bus 3403 - Route 56

NEW BUS ALERT! Ride one of VTA's newborn belugas on its first day in service. These buses only started entering revenue service within the last week, but will soon be everywhere. Let this be a wakeup call to ride the old diesels before they go.
These buses have a number of quirks and features. One of which being round stop request buttons which look like Staples "That was easy!" buttons. There is also obviously the obligatory forehead that earns these their given name of belugas.
As much as I expected to hate this bus, it honestly exceeded my expectations. The new generation of Allison hybrid system makes more noise than older ones, in a good way.
