Wool longies 🥰 can't wait to start using them! And I'm looking forward to your review ❤ Woolies are quite expensive so I'm making them myself. I'm expecting a fluffy package of the most beautifull wool interlock fabrics from Finland these days ❤ shipping costs are really cheap for Europe and they do ship worldwide... I don't think I can post a link, so here is the company name for all the diy people: Myllymuksut

@@ECpeesy I think the Disana look the most versatile and cost effective. Good for a fall/winter baby and nighttime. Also really liked your video on making your own diapers :)

With all of these, especially the wool pants, do you usually not use onesies? Like the shirts that snap between the legs, do you just get shirts? It’s so hard to find baby shirts, where do you find them?
@ECpeesy2 жыл бұрын
I just use shirts, not onesies. Some people snap onesies outside the pants. We had cotton shirts from Kate Quinn and wool shirts from Truly Charis. I think Primary has some small sizes for shirts. And Moon and Back by Hanna Andersson on Amazon. 💜 Heidi

THANK YOU for this video! Super helpful! I'm going to watch it again and take notes. Will be ordering all of the items for my baby due in November :)) So excited to do EC with cloth diaper backup. Thank you again for this!

Yay! Congrats on your baby on the way! 🎉 There are also the Bumby Abrazo wool cover, and Lunapaca alpaca wool cover. We didn't get to try those during the newborn stage, since they were released later. If I were to do it all again I'd have a mix of newborn wool covers: Babeegreens, Puppi, Lunapaca, and Bumby Abrazo. There are so many to choose from these days! This video also shows some of the various options: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWSoZYN3eMedZ5o

Our babies were born on the same date, also my third (I thought you said that in a previous video?) also doing ec and it’s my first time trying wool. So cool to see how all this different covers fit 👌

Do you feel you definitely need the newborn size babee greens wool cover for that whole newborn phase? OR could i get away with a cheaper polyester cover for the early newborn and then use the small babee greens for like midway into newborn and on? It’s just that buying four of the newborn babee greens wool covers for that short newborn phase would be a big investment
@ECpeesy3 жыл бұрын
You might be able to just skip newborn size and start with size small from birth in the Babeegreens wool cover. I know other families have done that, and there is a lot of overlap in the sizes for Babeegreens. I got newborn size because my previous baby was really small (5 lbs 13 oz) and most of her newborn cloth diapers were too big on her. I thought my 3rd baby might also be tiny. You could get just 2 or 3 small Babeegreens wool covers and some polyester covers. I wished with both of my babies that I had 2 of the Babeegreens side snapping, so I could just alternate between them. Hope that helps! 💜 Heidi

Helped a lot!!! Thank you. I think I am going to buy some Thirsties duo snap size one covers to cover me for when baby is real small until I can use my small wool covers.

Thank you so much for your video and hello from the other side of the world (The Netherlands)! I'm expecting my second baby and with my first I fell in love with wool, but only used it during the night. Now I want it all day! :D I'm really quite on the fence about which size(s) of Puppi covers to get. I kind of concluded that the newborn size gets very little wear, so I'll skip that (apart from a second hand one I found, yay!). But One Size Mini or One Size? Does the OS Mini still fit your baby now or did he grow out of it already? (I'm planning to use them with fitteds) I'd be grateful for your help :)
@ECpeesy3 жыл бұрын
Hi! I like the Puppi Mini OS as a newborn cover. We actually stopped using it before my baby grew out of it, since we already had a couple Puppi OS. The OS started fitting sooner than I expected. Many people also like the OS+ for using over thick fitted diapers or bulky nighttime diapers. We don't have a OS+ to compare. It would be nice to have at least one Mini OS and one or two OS covers. With wool you can get by with just a few, which gives you time to buy more once you know which size works best. I just did the Flats Challenge and used only 2 wool covers for 1 week on my baby who is 3.5 months old. With my previous baby we only had 3 wool covers when she was born and then added 1 polyester cover. So you don't need too many before you figure out what you like. I hope that helps. 💜 🧷 Heidi

@@lenavay1181 I just tried all the sizes of Puppi wool covers on him today. He is currently 6.4 kilograms and about 63.5 cm. He can barely squeeze into newborn wearing a newborn stretchy flat under. He can still comfortably fit in Mini OS with a one size stretchy flat under. And he has plenty of growing room left in OS. So he could have still been wearing Mini OS up to 4 months old! We stopped using it sooner only because we had many OS Puppi covers and switched to those.

@@ECpeesy Thanks a lot for trying them out and telling me! :) I have received my Mini One Size and agree that it's kind of a newborn cover and it does look like it will last for a while, especially with flats or prefolds. Fitteds maybe not so long, depending on the shape and trimness of the fitteds. I can't wait to try it all out, only a few more weeks to go! :)

I was wondering if you remember at what weight did your baby grow out of the newborn baby greens
@ECpeesy2 жыл бұрын
It looks like we stopped using the Babeegreens classic newborn wool cover when he weighed 11 lbs. He still fit in it, but we moved on to size medium. With my daughter I think she wore the newborn size until 12 lbs.

I love your videos! They are so helpful. Would you say that a normal size flat would be too bulky under the Puppi Mini OS? I'm also trying to figure out if the Disana tie nappy (which you usually put a folded flat inside) would be too bulky for the Puppi OS, or if I need to find some trimmer fitteds for underneath that for an older/bigger baby.
@ECpeesy3 жыл бұрын
My guess is that an infant size flat would be too bulky under the Puppi Mini OS. Maybe a newborn flat would be better (you can add a small booster). I wasn't using stretchy flats back when we were using Mini OS. I have a couple stretchy flats now. One flat is about 24"x24" and thin and fits well under Puppi OS. Another flat is 25"x25" and thicker and it's bulky under Puppi OS in the origami fold because of the long wings at the front. There are so many factors! Size, thickness, fold... Sorry I can't give you a more definite answer. I haven't tried the Disana tie nappies. Again, it probably depends how thick of a flat you put inside. 💜 Heidi
