These jams are amazing. This has always been one of my favorite songs. Jafakins and Lie-tinos are really delusional and out of their minds to really believe that they helped us create hip hop. Hip hop is 100% a Foundational Black American creation.

Uh...old school hip hop was the greatest. This is what we were break dancing to in the mid-80s and for my money it's still better than 99.9% of the rap music that came out in the last 40 years. This song still gets my old body out of a chair and dancing in 2024.

Absolutely. Pretty much anytime I install new new stereo equipment in a vehicle, four wheeler, or whatever I always go to this “to check out the sound, check out the sound” great all around sound. Lows, mids, and highs. That’s actually what I’m doing now. Just put new 2 kicker 8s, 6 1/2s and tweeters on my 13 year olds 4 wheeler. And it sounds good

I was 15 in 1983. It was a tumultuous time for me, I was put in foster care, and kind of lost in life. I had a friend, Bettina, and her and I had a piece of cardboard, her huge boombox, and we went to all the local breakdance contests, we would lay our cardboard everywhere we went, do windmills and spins and pop locks, and it was the one thing that helped me through those really tough years. The 80's memories stir strange feelings for me, but this reminds me of what was good back then. I wish kids did this these days instead of ipads, lol ☺️ im so happy to have found this. 🌎

First Newcleus record I bought was Jam on Revenge remix / Destination Earth remix. Their album really caught my eye too with that cartoon cover art. My friend had that. They were very popular in the UK among youngsters in the know about these fantastic tunes coming out of NYC. While others were into Duran Duran and Wham!, we were into Newcleus, Bambaataa, Davy DMX, Run DMC, etc.

Back when R&B and rap was cool as hell. It had class and style. This coming from white guy. But that didn't matter back in the 80s

These old timers can teach us young people how it's done. 💯Skill and talent and poverty brought this about. No lie. As a kid I watched my neighbor practice for several hours. Dedicated with no applause or audience. He was the real thing.
