A lot of people seem to ignore the description and simply assume these are 6400NA. Despite the fact they're similar, these are NOT 6400NA. These were modded in 2013, a year before 6400NA came out (2014)...unless this was a prototype installation.
@OPG27116 жыл бұрын
As of early 2018, Schindler has renamed it to "6400". Most TXpress modernizations use "400A" chimes, but it can have 500A chimes as well. TXpress came out in 2001 with 500A.

I noticed the chimes on these new Schindler mods aren't exactly the same as the HT chime but VERY similar, I don't know how to explain how they're different but I can tell they are. And at 1:55, I wonder how big the freight elevator is here to be able to get that car up there.
@NewEnglandElevators9 жыл бұрын
Elevating Denver Those two cars on display actually happen to be on a parking level. Although they're not in the lot itself, it seems easy enough to get the car in the mall. All that would need to be done is to just drive the car from the nearby entrance, and through some large door. I doubt it would be the standard entry doors. Maybe there's some sort of service corridor with some sort of garage door, I'm not too sure. It's fascinating to see cars inside a mall like this.

Elevating Denver It seems like the chime here has a slightly softer sound than the typical HT chime. It's not the video doing that, I've noticed that in any TXpress or HXpress mod as opposed to the real thing. I have no idea why this would be, probably because the chime is more optimized for the HT components (to sound from the speakers in the HT lanterns/panel). I noticed this in a HXpress a few years ago. The elevator had the typical 330A chimes with a Monitor Controls panel. Same sort of thing, the chimes were slightly softer than a normal 330A HT. It's interesting when you think about it.
@ElevatingDenver9 жыл бұрын
***** Yes, I wonder if it maybe was done intentionally. In a way the up/down chimes sound quite a lot like the 500A chimes but shorter. I noticed even in the 1980's, Schindler used similar chimes to those used on 400A and 500A. I rode a Schindler-Haughton elevator not too long ago with a very similar chime to 500A.
@NewEnglandElevators9 жыл бұрын
I can see where they got the idea to use that specific chime in their current 500A products. Which elevator is this, this sounds interesting!
@ElevatingDenver9 жыл бұрын
***** 500A is no longer made, but if these were modded before December 2013 they could be 500A. But if they were modded in 2014, I'd say these are 400A. Also, the 6400NA uses the same chimes heard on these elevators. But I think we determined they aren't 6400NA.

@NewEnglandElevators8 жыл бұрын
These concave buttons are awesome, and they do add a bit of "Euro" in these elevators. Not just the buttons add to the "Euro" feel, but the chimes too. The buttons are actually made by MADBS, and I have a link to their catalog in the description in this video. They're the BS Moon buttons on the Caesar plates.
