Fantastic. Question: can gravitational waves cause redshift? Or rather ethernal redshift after the light got hit? I don't understand how it is supposed to go to "normal" light again. If it stays in "modified" state, redshift, then hoe do we know if the universe is expanding or it is just altering the oldest farthest light continuously and making us believe the universe is increasingly expanding.

The larger galaxy on the left is much further away. They are not interacting in anyway apart from the galaxy on the rights gravity manipulating the light coming from the left galaxy.

The same reason why when you look up in the sky and it’s black. When we look out into space we are looking further back into time, light is not infinitely fast so some of the light might have not even reached us yet. However the light that did reach us will be delayed, like the Internet explorer just finding out that the queen died. That and Red shifting, we can’t see ultraviolet rays.
