James Burton makes great players look like beginners. Kenny and Marty are two of my favorite current pickers . But James Burton is just next level.

They must have had a great sound mixer for the show. James Burtons guitar tone is perhaps the best I've ever heard it. Now that is a "thick" Tele sound! Coolest of the cool!

Yes James is fantastic, but Marty is a master showman, best band leader ever

what a wonder to listen to such talented artists who have reached the end of their career with perfect mastery of their instrument!! james or kenny or fluke will leave us sooner or later but their musical works will survive them through the magic of recorded image and sound. thank you to them for bringing their masterful touch to legendary instruments.

Sentimental journey with the best pickers. James Burton was just a kid starting out with Ricky Nelson on the Ozzie and Harriet Show, and he was great back then.

Thank you so much for this video : I had the chance to see, hear and discuss with James (Burton), W.S. Holland and Kenny Lovelace on many backstage during concerts in Germany between 1976 and 1984. James Burton was (is always) my "teacher/model" for dobro (spanish or/and slide). Best wishes to you all. Jo (subscriber at your channel). France

A lot of heavy hitters in one place. I knew things were going to special when Marty kicked things off and Kenny points at James. That original Clarence White b bender Tele almost speaks out Anna 1 Anna 2 Anna 3 Anna 4 then James Burton drops in and it's hold tight! No egos everybody content to play rhythm and then step forward to play lead . James Burton has a tone all of his own from Suzy Q throught all those Ricky Nelson classics and then we haveKenny Lovelace.Add fluke with Paul Martin and Harry Stinson and you have perfection. I'll have to give all those classic songs a listen! There is only one thing better than a telecaster and that's four of them

Totally. Dude is just on a level of his own. Kenny talks about this performance. How James showed up with a cheap import guitar and plugged straight into the house twin reverb that hardly anyone will use. Then proceeds to blow the doors off of all of them.
