GUYS THE MUSIC VIDEO ADDS UP WITH THIS TOO!! at the beginning of the music video newjeans is in a car crash, and there’s nobody there to help them, the dog comes and is sniffing around looking for information about it, newjeans has no help so they decide to have fun in the mist of it all. Then newjeans goes and tries too look for help from other people (the guy in the car) by hitchhiking, but while their doing it birds are looking at them from above “watching “ them and their moves, they end up getting ignored when they ask for help so they have to take a train. When they go find somewhere to go , and they need food the cashier falls asleep, so their luck ends up helping them anyways While they keep looking around and doing things , more people are watching them from their perspective (birds, cats , bikers) Then they decide to dance in front of everyone, but everyone just watched, nobody joins in, nobody claps, and nobody looks interested, they leave and find a guy to fix their car He tows their car and get help and then they go back to the dark area (which I don’t know what it is tbh?) and weird evil creatures with cameras show up EDIT: I don’t know why this video is filmed in so many peoples perspective, but it obviously means something, but the girls never look weirded out by it. People are watching them and we see two sides The girls point of view And the point of view from the people watching them Min hee Jin is known for making music videos with meanings from newjeans, but this time the video and the lyrics match up Second edit: simple summary, I think this video is about newjeans being in a bad situation, “a car crash” and being watched ( by dogs cats birds ect, which may have more meaning ) and them going to a “black space” with swans? (Which are seen as pure) and water, which might mean hybe shoving them to the “dungeon”. they get help anyways and get weird stares from people even though their just doing what they want to do, dance and make music. They get help, but right after they get help they go back to the “dungeon” Idk I feel like there’s something we don’t know AND I WANT TOO SO BAD😭😭

I agree so much. Here's my thoughts: I searched up what ducks symbolize "Ducks may represent motherhood, parenthood, fidelity, family connections, protection, trust, and innocence." This may take on as MHJ since she is like their guardian amidst all of this. But there were a lot of ducks, this may also mean the team behind NJ. Many vids show how healthy NJ's relationship is with the staff. I also counted how many ducks and there were 9. I searched it and there's actually a book titled "Nine ducks nine" by Sarah Hayes where it's "about a fox trying to get the ducks. One by one, the ducks go to the bridge so the fox won't get them. There are some brave ducks and some who aren't, but the fox doesn't get any of them." If you pay attention to the lyrics, of course it may seem it's for a "toxic lover" but now with the controversy, IMO it's talking to EBYH and the issue. And the part biting an apple like Snow White, how such a simple and small thing (Accepting food or a necessity, money perhaps from EBYH) was that their motif all along was to poison them because jealousy or envy of "beauty" (NJ's authentic, youthful vibe) if you really put it in the Snow White reference. "Toxic lover, you're no better, don't hide there, come out now. You little demon in my storyline." is a clear shoutout to their relationship with EBYH. "Don't you know how sweet it tastes, now that I'm without you." - "I don't want any drama, it's good karma. Done scrolling thousand times. I know everything, it's just an obvious trick. It's a simple formula, it's like biting an apple." is in the second verse. - "I won't wait, I'm feeling my own way. I'm in it cause me and you are different so I won't stay, I'm leaving."

The genre of this song is early/mid 90s 'Miami Bass' the most famous miami bass tune is probably the Ghost Town DJs 'MY Boo' tune which you may have heard ..if not give it a listen :) the reason they always sound differentyet the same is they are constantly using 90s clubland genres that are obscure in kpop but all have a different yet similiar sound ... the genres they use are 'uk garage' (for the most part so far) 'drum and bass' 'miami bass' and 'jersey club' all different clubland sounds yet similiar enough to be able to be seamlessly fused together... 'supershy' for example was 'uk garage' with elements of 'drum and bass' but also the 'miami bass' type basslines (although it was hard to really tell because the uk garage and drum and bass were so prominent...but if you know miami bass you recognise it). This is their first completely miami bass song though

I thought that as well also with the lyrics but also i think this song was probably completed before the hybe/ador drama even started so it might just be coincidence. Unless of course the drama had been going on long before we even knew about it .. which probably is true... so maybe? but what do i know :P. Look into the significance of those numbers in the book the song is alluding. i think this also has noah’s ark vibes… the water in the beginning leads to rainbows and there are many perspectives from animals in this video. many rivers also, like minji’s nile river shirt, danielles st.lawrence ontario shirt and 98.2 fm is Radio Riverside in South Africa there is plenty of CCTV in this video (in the beginning animations and as footage) lots of being watched, but also can be ai warfare vibes the world is splitting apart also bugs being eaten by a LIZARD where the girls are inside too. About the whole connection to the drama, I might be wrong but... The MV was shot in March (there was a report of people seeing them filming in Taipei, and in the photos they're wearing those clothes). Another confirmation of it being shot before is Hyein injury in early April, if it was after she obviously wouldn't be able to participate. The "drama" started getting out to the public in the second half of April, of course we don't know when it actually started behind the scenes before it was made public.
