NewJeans are the first group to launch from ADOR, HYBE’s independent label led by Min Hee-Jin. @@motelmicrowave Oversimplification and misidentifying the issue. It's not "normie" behaviour to prefer this. It's fuller, the original chorus wasn't exactly a masterpiece, it was lyrically mid. The remix makes it seem fuller and moves some attention from the simplistic lyrics, making it less jarring and blending it into the song seamlessly. It was clearly the intention of the lyricist/s to mimic the rhythm, similar to onomatopoeia, with the chorus lyrics (see: rhyming the same word, 'cola;), so this works out.

what i love about this is that newjeans don’t do the whole blaccent and “swag” style that many K-pop artists seem to do now when they want to appeal to western audiences.
