2K20's at least had a storyline to it (Of Red gaslighting her best friend for like, twenty years) and events led into other events and things had a general purpose. This career mode is just "Things happen, and as soon as they're done, they never matter again" which is sadly the most accurate depiction of WWE booking at the time.
