thank you! i was fortunate enough to find an old Open Bible from goodwill and it has a name on the cover. I would like to make it my everyday Bible.

Great, I go on Google, and I still wind up at your channel. Got a Allan 62 with silver imprint. Purple calfskin.... just an incredibly beautiful Bible, but mistake to buy. Would not have bought if I saw your comment about silver imprint in this comment section.

Can you tell me how to remove off of a board book cover that feels like a leather covering? But I don’t think it’s real leather.

Good morning Brother, There's a way that I heard that you can take a name off the corner of your Bible. Using a wooden tip skewer or a plastic tip that you use your iPad for and WD-40. You can find it on KZbin.

Brother Steve what about the silver color imprints, is that Silver or Aluminum ???
@NewLifeOfAlbanyGa4 жыл бұрын
Those are tough my friend. The foils are virtually unremovable. The pure silver is the same process as the 24k gold.

If I remember, even the foil is 10k.

I have purchased the gold rectangular stickers that you can order with your name on it and cover the imprint. However as ive gotten older i think these sales with the imprints are wonderful it doesn't bother me to buy them and use them its whats on the inside that matters.

I think I used 91% isopropyl to remove imprinting from one of my bibles, but I can't for the life of me remember which one it was. I got an old Cambridge Cameo cheap which was about unused but had a name stamped into it and removed before I bought it. It was removed so well that you really need to look at it closely to tell that there was a name there, but I was able to read it just fine when I did so. I've heard of using WD40 but I've never even bought that stuff to try it myself.
