It`s a video from our hiking in Masca Valley on Tenerife (Canarias islands). We did it with all our family and we can tell you it`s possible for almost everyone.
In the heart of Teno Rural Park, meander through high rock walls from the hamlet of Masca along its ravine to the ocean.
Masca Gorge is unique, not only because of its spectacular landscape but also because of the fragility and exclusivity of the species of flora and fauna it is home to. The visit to it carries some risks, which are related to its characteristics as natural space (detachments, irregular and slippery pavement, adverse weather conditions, etc.) and other risks associated with hiking (falls, bumps, fatigue, etc.)

Near starting point, you can find a parking place for your car, but for only 2 hours and it`s not enough. So the solution is to leave your car in Santiago del Teide and after use the bus to go to Masca.

On a site and in the Center of Information you will be notified that it`s 3 hours to go down and 4 hours on the way back (up). With our daughter, we made it for 2:20 to go down to Masca beach with a lot of photos and videos on the way. On the way back I was in a hurry and I made it for 1,5 hours. So if you are prepared hikers it will be easy ;-)
There is a Pier on Masca beach, but for now (summer 2021) it`s broken and it`s not possible to go back by boat. It must be renovated soon, but it is Spanish SOON ;-)
Update: April 2024 - pier still not working :-)

Thank you for your comment. Yes, it's true that in some areas you can see a lot of tourists, but island is big and still you can find a place where you can be alone with nature!
