I finally visited Newport in summer of 2022 & made real good memories !! People in Newport ( most of 'em )were so~kind !! Everytime I asked for a direction, they went to my destination spots w me !!! Lol. I was stunned !! 😲 Some gorgeous Welsh couple ( the wife had a dual citizenship of U.S./ U.K.,a strikingly good looking ,a white lady w a very good looking black husband ) even carried my luggage from the train station to my hotel !!! 😮I don't know where else on earth where people would do such things in this day / age unless scammers !! Lol. Lots of very nice stories !! I'd love to go back there in the near future !! Mom wanna come along !!! I loved cafe at the Ridgeway & Ridgeway area !! And St.julian's Inn ,a pub w the best view ,indeed !! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿💕💞

Its a nice city and people are generally nice. The city only needs a little bit of investment and love. If everyone in Newport work together, this city can be transformed into something great. A similar example is what the Spanish did with Estepona, now its as vibrant as Marbella.

Please can you make a tour video of Bargoed ? A former mining town up in the valleys, steeped in history. Once a busy town but has now declined. Bargoed is just 17 miles from Cardiff. Please promote Bargoed.​@@gowithCheese

Thanks for the tour, I am from the South Wales valleys, looks a loverly city, and a lot bigger than I thought, also love ur videos on Cardiff, did you also see the civic center in Cardiff, opposite the Fab castle another architectural gem, greetings from wales.

Glad you enjoyed it and we must admit there are a lot of great architectural elements in South Wales as a whole…the structures are very detailed and you can see the intentionality it took in constructing each one of them…I hope the northern part has more story to tell too….dont forget to subscribe, it will mean a lot

@@gowithCheese I definitely agree, lots of different architecture that makes a very interesting sight, North Wales too is amazing especially the fab castles the ring of iron of Edward 1st built in the 13 century, like Caernarfon Conwy Harlech, Beaumaris, greetings from wales 😀

Some areas of Newport are nice, if you have 300.000+ to spend on a house but most of Newport is very rough and run down. It’s full of drugs and social housing, there’s a massive decline in respect, good role models, values and norms. The new friars walk bit is an improvement and a step in the right direction. I grew up in Cwmbran the neighbouring town and enjoyed many good nights out in Newport, but even now it’s terrible. There is also a lot of anti social behaviour in around al of Newport, lots of chavs and poorly educated idiots acting the big man causing a headache for the more civilised folk. If you buy a house in Newport, expect to live in and around mostly social housing where there could be druggies, immigrants, unemployed people that stay up all night blasting music, burnt out cars on the streets and teenagers popping wheelies on their bikes shouting every swear word under the son that they learnt at the age of 5, then expect to be asked for a pound every time you go for a walk by a druggy and step in dog shit everywhere. Newports great if you’re rough around the edges and want to fit into that type of area. Oh and expect to hear the sound of a 1.2 ford fiesta with a modded racing exhaust blearing that exciting thrilling sound of woaoooaaaaaaammmm past your house all night every night with the sound of drum and bass.
