Newport Country Club Wedding Video // Savannah + Terry // Love, Sweet Love

Savannah and Terry’s wedding had so many special touches. Savannah had envisioned a warm, romantic and elegant wedding event and she certainly achieved that. Yes, it did rain a little, however that never put a damper on the day. And as they say, rain on the wedding day is actually a very positive sign!
Savannah and her bridesmaids prepared for her wedding at the historic and luxurious Vanderbilt Grace Hotel while Terry and the groomsmen simultaneously got ready at the equally prestigious Hotel Viking. We were thrilled to be there to film as Terry gave out the groomsmen gifts, very distinguished silver cufflinks, a perfect compliment to their stylish black tuxedos.
At a quiet moment during bridal preparations, Savannah’s sister and Maid of Honor, Viviane presented her with a beautiful countdown containing a touching note reiterating her happiness on this day and her love for her sister. The girls shared a celebratory toast after their professional hair and makeup was finalized by Ashley Geremia of LaLaLuxe. Savannah and Terry were sure to prepare love notes for each other as well. Those are the significant moments that we know they treasured on that day and will continue to remember forever.
Then it was time for Savannah to put on that gorgeous wedding gown! She chose a brilliant Reem Acra gown with a form fitting silhouette and bateau neckline with lace cap sleeves. She looked like a modern day princess! We also loved how Savannah chose to have a touching first look with her father before the ceremony. You could see just how proud he was of his beautiful daughter. It was now time to head to the church.
A single stately bagpiper played at the steps of St. Joseph’s Church, greeting guests entering to witness Savannah and Terry’s wedding ceremony. Terry could hardly contain his emotions upon seeing his bride for the first time as she walked down the aisle to meet him. The Rev. Robert J. Randall officiated their ceremony and shared such wonderful sentiments, urging Savannah and Terry to recite their vows and begin their “ultimate partnership, that great adventure of risk and reward”.
Since it was only misting lightly off and on, we were so happy to be able to accompany Trish Gilmore and Mariah Ashley of SNAP! Weddings outdoors at Brenton Point and at their reception site to film their formal and candid photo shoots with the wedding party. The oceanside and park settings were absolutely gorgeous and everyone had such fun posing for the photos. Be sure to check out SNAP! Wedding’s blog post featuring many of the photos they captured!
Savannah and Terry’s elegant tented reception was held at Newport Country Club. It was luxuriously decorated with dazzling chandeliers, gorgeous gauzy fabric and string lights. The tables were adorned with glorious, lush pink and white blooms in tall glass vases. Stoneblossom Floral & Event Design did an amazing job with the décor. And as always, the expertise of Wendy Joblon helped to plan and create the most perfect wedding event. The warm, romantic theme carried through with the beautiful soft color palette in blush, light pink, ivory and gold. And their unbelievable white, five-tiered wedding cake by Confectionery Designs was absolutely heavenly!
After dinner, it was time for the dancing to begin! Seven-piece band Encore, from Wilson Stevens Productions, definitely rocked the house! Their energetic sounds and hot rhythm section kept guests on the dance floor all evening! At the end of the festivities, the guests capped off the evening with a beautiful sparkler send off for the happy couple.
We loved how Terry slipped in his toast to Savannah and started to call her his “future” wife. It took him a second to realize that this wonderful moment they’ve waiting so eagerly for, was really, finally here.
